ARCONA REVIEW

FROM THE START : 

         Customer Service was very pleasant. Samantha J. is very knowledgeable about the product line, and helpful finding product to send to me for trials. Also very quick delivery from one coast to the other ! 

WHAT I RECEIVED : 

        Basic 5 Normal Skin Sample Kit - which includes the following products. 

Desert Mist 

White Tea Cleanser 

Magic White Ice

Gentle Solution 

Golden Grain Commage exfoliate

WHAT I THOUGHT  :

White Tea Cleaner - Very light fragrance that is very invigorating, especially early in the morning. My face felt clean and not overly dried afterwards. 

Gentle Solution - Makes my skin feel so soft it is incredible. The scent is different and I cant put my finger on it but it isn't over powering or bad smelling in any way. 

Magic White Ice - This feels like lube - not in a bad way it's just the texture while you're massaging it into your skin. It is not tacky, slimy or greasy feeling once dried. This is probably my most favorite product from the line.

Desert Mist - I'll be honest, I was a bit nervous about this one because of the color and the first time smelling it. Not to be gross but it looks like urine in the sample container. It has a slight "mouthwash" scent to it, but I will tell you what. When you put this on your face, there is no smell, it has made my face so smooth and supple feeling. I also currently have a very lovely dewy glow going on.

Exfoliate - Light scent, gritty but not painful, a very nice upscale exfoliate.

FINAL THOUGHTS :

        I think once my bills are caught up from being off from my car accident, I will be purchasing the Magic White Ice, Gentle Solution and the White Tea cleaner. It was really nice that they provided a card that tells you what products to use and when.

This is on the higher end of skin care for me, but as I am 30 and not a young teen girl anymore I need to really start protection and using better, tailor made products for me and my skin type. I really think that Arcona have just made themselves a new customer in me. I can't wait to share what little of the samples I have left with my mom, as I know she will want to know where to buy as well.

UPDATE !!

So I did a thing.. I cut my past the bra length hair off ! 

I now have a pretty crazy pixie style cut.. and it's kind of life changing lol. I will post pictures on Tuesday after I get the awesome color to match my way cool new do .

Jane Iredale Review

What was my interaction like with the company :

I contacted the Jane Iredale representative, and told them that I currently do reviews for samples of products. After a few back and forth emails about my skin and information, my samples were sent out. The Rep was very pleasant and helpful in choosing colors for me based on the information I provided. 

What came in the package : 

A small tube of Just Kissed Lip Plumper , I'd call it a travel / purse size in the color Tokyo. 

A .25 fl oz tube of  Dream Tint in medium with 15 SPF 

Two lipstick foil packs in the colors Kaylee and Margi 

A foil of Glow TIme full coverage mineral BB cream in BB5 

Thoughts about the products : 

Lip Plumper  - No taste after applied, has sort of a cinnamon / bubble gum scent  - interesting, not off putting .. It has a smooth yet dry texture that glides on nicely. You can feel the tingle starting nearly immediately. The color is rosy berry shade that is sheer and like a tint not a full coverage lipstick. It did make my lips feel and look a bit more plump. 

Dream Tint - I have kind of oily and dry skin, so I should have tried this after washing and moisturizing. However that being said, after applying, and letting it settle my skin feels smooth and kind of velvety. 

Glow Time - I used this on top of my liquid foundation , and it added a really nice glow. I used this for a minimal makeup day. 

Lipstick Foils - The color Kaylee is very complimentary to my skin tone, the color Margi is nice but a bit too pink where I need a little more blue based shade. I still like it though. . The back of the card shows the new shades, which I thought was nice. This just might make me more inclined to wearing lipstick more often ! 

Final thoughts :

    I like that the website will tell you which items are vegan / gluten free, if they are not they tell you whats in it, gives a full list of ingredients, they are a cruelty free company. For me, this is a save and splurge company. They do have a lot of nice products, and other products I wouldn't mind trying out. If your budget allows for it, I would buy from Jane Iredale .

Reviewing after my car accident !

Okay, so since this is a new blog, and not many of you know me ( does anyone ? LOL ) .. I was making a WordPress blog and decided that I used Tumblr much more and I'm familiar with everything here so why not just keep with what I like ! 

I will be moving my previous reviews over to here in the future. As for now, I'm just getting over the bruises and scrapes from my head on collision back in mid August. I passed out after having non sedative oral surgery, and hit a telephone pole head on. I had seat belt rash and a very deep bruised, the lap belt caused a really deep bruise, after hitting my head off the steering wheel I had a bruised bridge of my nose,abrasions from the window breaking and the airbag deploying. Needless to say I didn't want to touch my swollen beat up face, let alone put any products on it to irritate the healing process.. 

So now, I'm pretty much back on the mend and doing well. I can get back to reviewing samples and products.
