Decided to randomly doodle my experience with each of the healing jobs in FFXIV. (All at 60).
WHM: Do you lyk dem big healz? It’s the most approachable healing class for beginners. Strong single target healing, great aoe heals with decent MP management (Shroud of Saints and Assize) - unless you are in full-time cleric stance spamming Holy. (If it gets the enemies down quicker and no one is dying, then who am I to judge :P).
SCH: Do you like afk healing preventing/mitigating damage? Arsenal of shields at the cost of having more limited big aoe heals. But hey, you have a fairy to help. Multitasking is involved post-Haukke Manor; the management of your fairy (keep on obey, pls), healing and DPSing. Out of the three, SCH has the best MP management due to their ability, Aetherflow.
AST: Do you like RNG/providing utility? A blend of both WHM/SCH in which their sects can offer either regens or shields. Their uniqueness comes from providing buffs with their cards. AST is required to have some knowledge of the classes in regards to who would benefit the most from [x] buff (unless it’s spread Balance. Then it’s always spread Balance. Add in some Time Dilation, too).
All are pretty fun to play, but mah bias will always be SCH.
Will probably doodle a tanking one later.
