“You’re the light, you’re the night, you’re the colour of my blood...”
Rather than answering Misty, Zero scooped her up in his arms, spinning her before dunking her head under the water. “Ah but I’ve got you now.”
After Zero dunked her, Misty laughed gently. “Fine fine-- You win.” Sighing, she flashed a small smile in his diretion. “Can you put me down now please?”
“I think you don’t feel cold because you’re just smokin’ hot.” Zero countered, sticking his tongue out at her. Of course he was caught aback as she splashed him. He chased her cheeky grin all the way to the other end of the pool wrapping his arms around her torso and pulling her under the water with him before resurfacing and sputtering. “Don’t start a fight you aren’t going to finish love.”
Unable to stop grinning, Misty kicked around as Zero held her waist. When they resurfaced. “And how do you know that I can’t finish the fight, hm?” She continued to splash him a few more times, playfully dunking him under the water. “I’m not going to give up that easily.”Â
“It looks cooooooold.” Zero threw his head back and sighed, resigned to his fate. Not that he really minded all that much. “Besides swimtrunks are for pansies. I’m good.” He took his shirt off, shedding his shortls likewise until he was standing in just boxer briefs, before taking the plunge into the water. It wasn’t terribly cold but the change in temperature was still harsh against his body. He surfaced, fixing his hair, and gliding over to where Misty was seated, tugging on her ankle lightly. “You coming or no?”
Misty laughed gently as he stripped and then got into the pool. After a tug at her ankle, she walked down the side a little. “I’m coming, I’m coming,” She sighed and then dove into the pool. Upon resurfacing, she swam over to Zero with a grin on her face. “Isn’t swimming just incroyable? Plus, it’s not that cold. You should toughen up a little.” After splashing the guy a few times, Misty dove back under the water and began to swim to the other side of the pool. A cheeky grin grew on her face as she appeared a few metres away.
He watches her, staying silent, until she mentions her medication. He has no idea what was going on with the woman, but he didn’t want to upset her. Smiling kind of awkwardly, he decides to extend his hand to her. “I’m a horrible dancer, but I’ll dance with you if you wish.”
“It’s really not all that difficult, I’m sure you’ll be just fine.” Misty smiled taking his hand and stepping closer to her. “Ma mère et ma grand-mère would teach me sometimes. You can figure it out though. It’s not all that hard.” Looking around, Misty looked down at the floor. “Just-- move your feet like this... You’ll be fine.”
“Are you going to come swimming or not?” She grinned, leaning on the barrier of the poolside seating. Having been there 10 minutes or so already, Misty had already changed into her swimsuit. “It won’t take long for you to change.”
“Okay….If you say so.” Kristoff glances around, taking in the view. “It is quite nice, I suppose. Just be careful, you could still fall.”
Misty shook her head a little. “You really shook ease. I come up here all the time. It’s absolutely beautiful,” Dancing around in the breeze, when he stood still she just looked over at him slightly with raised eyebrows. “I haven’t felt this at ease and this relaxed in a long time. My medication is up--- Please don’t wind me up. Je ne veux pas avoir un ajustement ici parce que je pourrais tomber vraiment à ma mort.” Misty took a breathe, carried on twirling.
“Hold up,” she muttered, shushing the other in the process. “..—-yeah, and a side order of vegetarian spring-rolls, too.”
Misty bit her lip, holding her words back. “So sorry” She mouthed.
Misty sighed and ran a hand through her hair. “Look, we’re allowed up here. Vous devriez calmer.” Looking around at the empty roof top, she gestured for her company to take a look around themselves. “It’s a beautiful night and the view is just as stupéfiant. Please, just enjoy yourself.” Flashing a playful grin, the brunette decided to take a walk and a wonder around herself.
“Oh, Misty.” Shanti whispered as she hugged the girl in front of her. “Don’t be like that, you’re suffering in advance, and you can never know what you can or can’t do if you never try it right?”
Misty sniffled. “I mean-- Oui.” Leaning into the other girl, her chest rose and fell with shakes from the sobs. Her head hurt from the crying, which was awful.
“It’s fine–there’s always next time y’know?”
“What if there is no next time? What if I’m not ready for it when it arrives?”
“Shh, dear.” The girl tried to calm Misty down a little, a soft smile on her lips. “It’s ok to be afraid, you can always try and perform tonight at the bonfire, only you with your guitar, I’m sure people would want to see you. Without stages and the whole pressure.”
Misty shook her head. “I can’t... I just can’t do it.” She buried her face in her hands. “The thought alone--- I can’t breathe.”
"I just couldn’t do it... I wanted to so bad, but I was so scared.”
“Ah, that’s cool, alright – point me in the direction of the boxes.”
“Are you sure you don’t mind?” Misty asked again hesitantly. “They’re uh---” She leant around the corner and pointed at a few boxes. “There.”
“You really have nothing to lose, sweetheart. Might as well just go up and get it over with.”
“It could easily go horribly wrong.”
