Lago Di Braies, ItalyĀ By Brendan Bannister
Thatās how she looked
I adore her. She poisoned their soup (she was working in the cantine and was forced to serve the occupying nazis) and ATE the same soup to proove her innocence. Then she rushed home to her grandma who gave her a whole jar of milk to drink and throw up.
I found sources.Ā
The wordĀ āmanā was gender neutral and referred to both sexes until the 13th century
The female specific pronounĀ āsheā was invented in the 12th century.Ā
The wordĀ āgirlā was gender neutral and referred to children of both sexes until the 15th century
High heels were invented for men and were worn predominantly by men until the 16th century
From the mid 16th century to the 19th century boys would typically wear dresses until the age of 7
Until the early 1930s pink was considered the appropriate colour for baby boys and blue was the colour for baby girls
In 2017, a Christian couple pull their 6yo son out of a primary school because his classmate is transgender - citing theirĀ ātraditional beliefsāĀ Ā IMPORTANT NOTE: Last source is transphobic and from a pro-life website that attempts to defend the dumb ass couple. Feel free to ignore it if you prefer, but it was included for the sake of accuracy.Ā
Reblogging because verifiable sources make every information 70% better. Thanks for the addition!

Sheena Stewart was 4 ½ months pregnant when she was pulled over in her car for allegedly not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign.
Stewart handed over her license, and was looking for the registration in the glove box when the copsā indicated their impatience, according to the suit filed in Brooklyn Federal Court.
Officer Matthew Castellano angrily complained, āWhat the fāk is taking you so long?āĀ
Stewart, 29, responded, āIf you are going to continue talking to me like this, I am going to record how you are speaking to me,āĀ
Castellano tried to yank Stewart out of the car while she was still belted in. The cop removed the seatbelt and āthrew her to the ground on her pregnant stomach,ā the suit alleges.
She was called a āfat bastard,ā but it is unclear if Castellano or his unidentified partner made the nasty remark.
Stewart was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration.
She remained handcuffed in a cell at the 121st Precinct for approximately one hour at the station before an ambulance arrived to take her to the hospital.
The charges were later dismissed. She later learned that the cops had written her up for three traffic violations.

Yep. Human zoos were a thing. Not only in America, but in a lot of countries in Europe. Matter of fact, it was Europe that started the terrible exhibits back in the 1800s, then New York started having theĀ āzoosā in the 20th century. Over 28 million white would go to theseĀ āzoosā to see hundreds of black and indigenous people as aĀ āmajor attractionā.Ā
People who suffered in these zoos might still be alive.Ā Do not let this be lost in history.

Thereās a team of women in India who bring justice to the oppressed women of their country. āThe Gulabi Gangā wear pink saris, carry bamboo sticks as weapons, and are trained in counter- aggression techniques, like smearing abusive men with chili powder. If police fail to help an abused woman, the gang steps in and asks the husband to change his ways- but if he wonāt, they ask his wife to join them in beating him. Source Source 2 Source 3
Emma Watson behind the scenes for Elle UK, March 2017.
āI think it is right I am paid the same as my male counterparts. I think it is right that I should make decisions about my own body. I think it is right that women be involved on my behalf in the policies and decisions that affect my life. I think it is right that socially, I am afforded the same respect as men.ā āEmma Watson
