With the announcement of the new anime adaptation of RuroKen, I’m secretly hoping that they animate the Jinchu arc this way.

Kind of like how in the anime during the scene when Kenshin was fighting Shishio, they added a flashback scene of Kenshin saying goodbye to Kaoru as a way for him to regain his strength and used the Shishio’s Guren Kaina against him which wasn’t in the manga.

I was originally thinking that Kenshin recalls the confession scene while running into the Kamiya dojo to look for Kaoru because I thought it would be really dramatic but maybe it would distract from the urgency of the scene.

Okay, but the scar Zuko got on his chest because he took a lightning bolt to save Katara’s life by risking his own, can’t be swept under a rug. It’s really meaningful, but also very romantic. Picture it this way: 

Everytime Zuko’s wife rested on his chest or tried to kiss him there, she’d see it: the scar he got from saving another woman’s life. And it’s not a scar that recalls trauma and burden like the one on his face, but one that brings the memory of Zuko risking his life, the future of the fire nation and the world, for a woman who wasn’t her. 

I think that’s…quite a thing
