I'm not that same anon but wanted to say that I was so anxious about the pap smear that I ended up just not ever going, and now I'm dealing with a lot of shit with my uterine health that's all very shitty and upsetting and I can't help but wonder if maybe they would have caught this sooner and been able to deal with it earlier if I'd just gone for the damn pap smear =/

This is the tragedy of the whole issue anon, I totally sympathise with you and I’m so truly sorry for all this crap you have to go through :( I really hope your health improves and that this process is smooth for you as it could possibly be. This is the exact reason I know I HAVE to go through with it no matter what. It’s really unfortunate that such an invasive and potentially traumatising procedure can be live saving, it makes it so hard to justify it when your anxiety is sky high :(

i don't know you well enough to ask you off anon (afraid it might be too personal and don't want to upset you, so please delete this if it is) but um i saw on twitter you were really distressed by the idea of a smear test. could i ask why they make you so anxious?

I’m really ok with talking about this privately on a one on one basis, but I kinda don’t want to get into specifics on my public blog, if that’s ok.
