Hii! Welcome to my blog! I’m The Jinster, and this is where I yap into the voice about my favorite game, fire emblem three houses, and (eventually) share my art, aus, and answer questions! I’m very busy so my posts will probably be more on the infrequent side, but if you like what I have to say, feel free to stick around! My ask box is always open, and whether its thoughts, questions, or ideas, I’d love to hear it :)

My basic rules of interaction are simply: don’t be a meanie. Three houses controversy is welcome, although that is not the main purpose of this blog, as well as sillier debates (i.e. pasta vs noodles) but I will not engage with disrespect or harassment beyond blocking you. Y’all should know that I’m queer and nonbinary, so if you have a problem with that, then this blog isn’t for you.

With that out of the way, welcome!! I also play a couple other srpgs, as well as some other game, and other interests in general. So if you have any questions, go ahead! I’d also love to hear any au ideas, thoughts or comments on my own aus, etc! I have a couple of aus I’ve written a bit about but haven’t gotten to posting on this blog, so that should be coming soon. :)

Heyyyy anyone have any recommendations for My Hero Academia fics where Izuku doesn’t get All Might’s quirk and instead gets into UA under General Studies (or any of the other types of class groups offered) and becomes invaluable to the Hero Course kids through utilizing his ability to analyze strengths and weaknesses of various quirks? He basically becomes the best Support/Side Kick because he can suggest battle strategies at the drop of a hat and ends up a hero by his own merits.

Like… I have to imagine there’s fucktons of fics that follow this line of thought or have similar plots. Please let me know what your recs are so I can devour them!

My boyfriend's grandpa was a cool guy. He always had some sort of a story about everything. He'd never run out of things to talk about but he ran out of time to tell them. I never knew that he used to paint before after his death when I first found out that the gorgeous painting in the writing room in their home was something he painted as a teenager.

When I was a sophomore in high-school, this girl I sat next to in my chemistry class passed away in a very sudden and violent manner. I probably never spoke more than three words to her. I was really shy at the time so I wasn’t really the type to get to know my lab partners or desk neighbors, and most of the people in that class felt intimidating to talk to. So, I didn’t. After she died, I took things really hard. Weirdly hard, considering I didn’t even really know her.

I really, really wished I had. Even though from what I knew we didn’t really have anything in common, during that part of my life I would have given anything to go back and appreciate that brief time we spent together, to appreciate her as a person instead of ignoring her out of fear and a latent sense of superiority over who I simply assumed to be a ‘basic popular girl.’

I’m a firm believer in the fact that everyone I’ve ever met has made an impact on me, has changed me in some small way. She changed me. Even as my memories of what she looks like have begun to fade over the years, I will always remember her. I think it counts. It has to count. Because I still miss her, even though I didn’t even know her name.

there’s been too much edelgard discourse on my dash recently so instead of talking about what you don’t like or what you disagree with or starting arguments or whatever negativity it is, i wanna know what you love about three houses. if you wanna say what you love about your favorite character, the music, literally anything. like… comment or or reblog send me an ask bc i just want to see people talk about what they enjoy.

i’ll go first: the 2d animation in this game is absolutely gorgeous but i’ve never seen a single person talk about it. no matter how many times i replay 3h i’m always impressed by how good it looks, especially with the cutscene where miklan transforms. how are people so good at art. i love creativity.

also i genuinely have not played a game with such great voice acting all around like… it’s amazing. all the vas are phenomenal.

I’ve played a lot of fire emblem, and three houses I think has some of the best character designs across the board. I really love how everyone feels unique and recognizable and fun despite all being in very similar uniforms for half of the game.

I also just love love love the character writing of this game. Sure there are some controversial points or some issues with certain characters, but overall it has such strong characters imo. Even student characters that never really get a spotlight in the main story, like ferdinand, are just so well done. Shoutout to the noblest of nobles!!!

I also want to bring up the excellent worldbuilding of the game. Fodlan is so so interesting and I love the breeding ground for theories and speculation that has been built because of it. There’s always more to discover about the world of three houses, and I think that’s awesome.

The replay ability is also INSANE. I love doing terrible character build runs! (i.e. fortress knight bernie, brawler linhardt)

Finally, I want to say how awesome the fandom can be!! Obviously there’s flaws and bad eggs, but the three houses community is such a vibrant and lovely place, and the fanworks that have arisen from this game are genuine treasures. No fic has lived in my head the way The Winter Lady of Frauldarius (by teecup_angel, on ao3) has.

I think all commonly given names should have two standard nicknames that have a completely different vibe from each other. Like one is cheery and the other is gothy, one variation is Sharp And Intimidating and the other one is cute and fluffy, one is sci-fi level modern-sounding and the other one is really old-school vintage vibe. Doesn't matter what the spectrums are, just as long as the vibes you get from the nicknames are totally different and fit completely different kinds of people. Like the way the name Charles can go two ways, being nicknamed "Charlie" or "Chuck".

I just thought of something with the Black Eagles - yk how after the battle at Remire, the flame emperor shows up? How fast was Edelgard changing her outfit? Did she just put the armor on over her academy uniform? Is there some crazy quick change magic? Where was she keeping it? Did she stash it in one of the houses in Remire? Did Hubert call ahead to the Death Knight to bring the armor? I have so many questions.

I took an AP science course my senior year of highschool and several of my classmates repeatedly accused me of using AI to write my presentations. My presentations were memorized. Somehow me being articulate and intelligent was something impossible to them. This also applies to the concept of basic research skills.

I was also accused of using AI for quickly finding a government website with information disproving a claim a classmate made during one of the debates our class held. It was on the first page of google. It baffles me how students in a college-level course were so brainrotted as to believe that basic skills expected for a course such as this are something us humans are incapable of.

I do think that there’s a deeper issue intertwined with this as well, though.

My lab partner was a very similar person to me in a lot of ways, including interests, eloquence, and the effort he put into the class. However, not once was *he* accused of using AI. I think that in my case, and the case of a lot of people I know irl, AI just gives people more of an excuse to reinforce their sexist beliefs. They don’t have to confront the idea of a feminine presenting person being smarter than them, because they can just wave it off as AI. They don’t have to respect you, because they can just choose to believe you, the helpless woman, are just getting a robot to do everything for you, regardless of how ridiculous that conclusion is.

Anyways yeah that’s my little rant about my experiences! tl;dr: AI fucking sucks! Baseless accusations of AI usage rooted in sexist also fucking suck!

Replaying fe3h for the ??? time to add to my already 550+ hours in game. I just enjoy how bug like she looks here. She’s so eye.

Also waves my hands manically to fe3h enjoyers please interact. 👁️ I first played dimitri’s path when the game came out and he is my favourite by a slim margin but only slim because I love all the lords. (Dimileth enjoyer that S support is so peak dude) I understand all their points of view and their actions. I just enjoy the game and the characters and seeing different perspectives from each lord. This shit is my autism game I’m soooo normal about it I swear.
