Distinguished delegates,

First and foremost the selection team for Universitas Indonesia Delegation to Harvard National Model United Nations 2016 would like to thank you for your endless display of talents, perseverance, and dedication on our two days simulation. You have shown tremendous amount of enthusiasm, potential, and capacity as a delegate that indeed will Become Legends. Below are the list of 11 delegates who will be given the honor to proceed to our interview phase:

For those of you whose names are not listed, we are very sorry to announce that you are unable to proceed to our next phase of selections. The selections committee would like to encourage all delegates who did not pass the simulation to keep improving their quality as a delegate. Do not perceive this failure as the end of your journey. Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat.

The UI for HNMUN 2016 selection is a simple 3-step process!

1. CV Submission (23 March - 11 April 2015)

Download registration form here The form consists of 2 parts: CV & Short Research Essay Save to PDF with title format “HNMUN_CV_[FullName]” (e.g. HNMUN_CV_HilyaNisrina) Submit via email to [email protected] with subject “[Faculty]_[Batch]_[Full Name]” (e.g. FE_2012_Hilya Nisrina) Submission begins Monday, 23 March (19.00) and end Saturday, 11 April (23.59)

2. Grand Simulation (25 & 26 April 2015)

Candidates who pass Phase 1 will proceed to simulate an actual HNMUN conference on the given dates. Once announced, candidates will be assigned countries to represent and topic(s) to be discussed during the simulation. Candidates will be given Study Guide as a basis of research and are expected to prepare their research. For applicants who have no prior MUN experience, we will provide MUN 101 session before the session starts.

3. The Interview (02-03 May 2015)

Candidates who pass Phase 2 will proceed to the interview sessions.

Candidates are to be aware that all dates for each phase of selections are fixed and final. If there are any delegates who are, under any circumstance, unable to attend any phase and/or abide any of our given deadlines, disqualification will be in order.

AYE AYE, DELEGATES! Time flies as this year’s HNMUN happened to be the 8th generation of Universitas Indonesia’s participation. We are extremely delighted to have sent the troops of 8 best armies to the battle field. All the hard work paid off as this marked the first award ever snatched by our alma mater. Woohoo! 

Through extreme weather, we experience world’s oldest, biggest, and the most challenging Model United Nations conference. Shout out to the 61st session of Harvard National Model United Nations! Organized by Harvard International Relations Council, this year’s event was held at Marriott Copley Place in Boston, gathering up to 3000 delegates  representing top universities from 70 different countries. 

Indeed, this has become a life-changing moment for us. We really feel the touch of intense debate and tough negotiation, yet surrounded by extravagant friendship and parties! 

We are also beyond excited to proudly announce our very first accomplishment during the course of UI for HNMUN Delegation history over the past 8 years. Yup, Universitas Indonesia snatched “Honorable Mention” award at High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPFSD) represented by the one and only Andhika Putra Sudarman (you can read the full article here: http://ui.id/y8oF9).

This is definitely a defining momentum for the future of our winning legacy! We finally become legends.

As the breeze of the Boston’s winter disappeared, and as the conference ends, we finally come back for the most awaited event of the year: Universitas Indonesia Delegation for Harvard National Model United Nations 2016 SELECTION! Now, we challenge you to be a part of our winning legacy to participate in the most competitive yet fun Model United Nations conference of the universe. 

We call you to be a part of the prestigious team -- to experience one of the best public speaking and leadership programs in the nation. 

We dare you to answer this summon and drop everything behind.

We dare you to become legends.
