The Professional

Hobbies can never just be “hobbies” for me. When I get interested in something I usually let the hobby then take over my life. The hobby usually turns into a second a job, and then I strive to become a pro at whatever it is that I am interested in at that point. Copying the best. My brother is an exceptional artist; I am not. I was curious what my brother’s secret was, so I asked him. He responded with dedication of course, but he also talked about how he copies his favorite artists. My brother than showed me all the hidden things in his art and where he took them from. He told me that copying an artist makes you see things that weren’t there before. If you want to become the best, copy the best.

Research the best and who become before them. I wanted to be a pro drummer when I was younger. I had dreams of playing in a metal band in front of thousands. To get to the stage I researched who were the best metal drummers, and who did they idealize. The list become long, but it was awesome to say the least. Researching who was before you will help with the fundamentals.

The Similarities and the Differences. All professionals in a field have something in common, discover what that is. This will help you discover what people enjoy. Also, find out what makes them different. I’ve been looking at successful blogs to find out what all have in common, such as a professional front page, and what makes them different, which is their writing style.

What hasn’t been done.This obliviously is the hardest part. At this time think about what you want out of it. Realize why you are creating something.  This can be simply as combining certain elements that no one has done yet.
