Just around my mom’s last birthday, I came out to her. At first, it was hard—she struggled to understand. But just a few days before she left this world, she looked at me with love and said something that has never left me:

Those words became my compass. Today, in honor of her and the LGBTQ+ community, I’ve built something from scratch—something I never thought I’d be able to do on my own.

Friend, you truly know my story because you walked it with me. You were there when my mom was fighting cancer; when I came here again and again to crowdfund her treatments, when we sold everything we had just to buy her more time, and when we pulled together to design that unforgettable birthday for her.
You know how, in her final days, I gathered the courage to come out to her. It wasn’t easy, but before we finally lost her, she gave me words that changed my life:
“Don’t just be a number, make it count.”
That’s why QueerQuest isn’t just code on a screen. It’s every sleepless night, every sacrifice, every ounce of love I had left after grief. I taught myself the skills, scraped together what little I had for a laptop, and built this game from the ground up—not just for me, but for all of us.
But I can't do this alone. I need our community—i need YOU.
