do you ever think about post hawkmoth enemies au where adrien is finally free from his father and gets to go to public school like he’s always wanted but everyone hates him. and then do you think about how he’s conditioned to accept a certain amount of abuse by everyone and to think that standing up for himself would invite greater retaliation. because i do.

thinking about marinette who’s learned to stand up to bullies and just defeated the biggest bad watching him sit there and take it from other kids at school and asking him why he puts up with the pranks and the cruelty and him just being like “if i play along, then they’ll let me stay”

The names Astrochat and Cosmobug, coming from Astronaut and Cosmonaut, respectively, imply that Adrien was influenced by NASA while Marinette is more a fan of the Soviet Union's space program. This scene is so perfect. The way Adrien see that Marinette is struggling to say wants she wants to say and comes up with this idea is so sweet. He takes the time to make her feel comfortable and helps her says what she wants to without her even having to speak. It's just fills me with so much warmth.
