(1/6) Day 6 - Rules
“His father warned him never to cross to the other side of the meadow, past the vine wall; because every wolf that crossed it never came back. His mother allowed him to imagine and dream what would be on the other side. But it was his uncle who motivated him to venture beyond the wall.
Of all the things that the young wolf through he might find, none prepared him for what he saw:
A little rabbit sleeping peacefully in the middle of that leafy forest. She was a girl, she looks about his age but…
Aren’t rabbits supposed to be extinct?”
(2/6) Day 10 - Growing up together
“He wasn’t sure why. But after that first meeting, he began to go to the meadow more often. The little rabbit always welcomed him with open arms, as if they were old friends; and of course this was too uncomfortable for him, but he never had the courage to tell her to stop.
Obviously he couldn’t go every day to visit her, but he began to notice that the days he didn’t go to see her felt different.
He was annoying? Sad? Concerned?
He didn’t know what he felt in those moments; what he did know was that the moment he saw her from afar, his heart stopped feeling tight.
And for now, that was all he needed in his life.”

“It took him a while to realize it. But when he finally understood, he felt as if a great pressure was released from his chest. He wasted no time that day, he started running towards the meadow just a second after understanding the revelation he had.
He wanted to shout his feelings to that happy and beautiful rabbit.
However, It seemed his little friend was headed in a bit different direction. Because you could clearly see that she wasn’t even expecting that kind of news.
Could be… didn’t she share the same feelings as him?.”

“He didn’t press her to answer him. He told her that he would give her the time she needed, that he would return in a few days and if she was not ready yet he would give her more days; the ones she needed until she felt comfortable.
But the bunny only had to spend a couple of moons alone to realize that she hated the idea of never seeing that wolf again… her wolf.”
(5/6) Day 27 - Truth Serum / Spell
“She wasn’t… was she?
He watched as she occasionally to eat a little more than normal, but he brushed it off.
There were days when they spent time together and she couldn’t help but fall asleep next to him. It was when he started to worry, he asked her if she was feeling alright and she just told him that she was just tired.
Until one afternoon, just after he arrived at the meadow, he saw a different gleam in her eyes.
Something inside the wolf told him that his suspicions were true, but he ignored it until the little rabbit took his hand and placed it on her belly.”

“For now, these two rabbits that he was hugging were his little secret. Only his uncle and mother knew where he went when no one was watching. But he dreamed of the day when he could freely show his happy family to the rest of the world.”
😍 The concept of secret romance in a Modern AU looks interesting to me. Especially if they are teenagers or if they are in the college.
🙈 Although at my age I think I should pay more attention to tropes like "Office Romance" or something like that. I have to admit I really like it when Zuko plays like the son of the company owner...

Just when I finished this, I remembered that the first work I did for Patreon was about this [scream internally].
I tried my best and failed... again.
Ok, let's imagine this:
Physical contact is not something Zuko is an expert at. That's not a secret.
After the first kiss, which happened just on impulse.
He tries, he really tries, to take the lead in showing his love to Katara in every possible way.
But his attempts always end in things like this.
- Zuko, you were right! This festival is very similar to the one at the South Pole. I loved it! This is so beautiful!
- Yeah... beautiful. (Wait! What?!)
That's moment.
There are many headcanons that talk about the first moment when Zuko felt something in his heart for Katara.
In fact, when I started in this fandom I also had my own version of this.
But this time I came up with this other idea.
I've always loved the "Boy falls in love first" trope and I believe with all my heart that Zuko is that guy...in any AU.
God! I can even imagine poor Zuko screaming into his pillow when he's finally alone in his room, after realizing exactly how he feels about Katara.
Iroh notices the nervous attitude his nephew has begun to have around the waterbender and it doesn't take long for the man to talk to him.
Zuko doesn't even try to deny it, she just panics and begins to wonder if it's okay for him to have these feelings for his most trusted friend.
Two years ago this was my second Christmas-themed Zutara fanart. [The first one will only live in my memory and in the three people who were patreon that year because... cringe.]
