You pulled your knees closer to your chest sighing. Today had been an awful day, between your classes, helping around The House Of Lamentation, and just being overall overstimulated. You felt as if time was slipping out of your grasp leaving you with this paralyzing feeling.
You squeezed your knees harder, your tears starting to bubble and spill. You hated this feeling, hated the way you felt so easily overwhelmed, hated the way you pitifully cried, but, before you could finish your mindless self-loathing a knock was heard at your door.
"Lamb chop..?" It was Beelzebub's voice. "Lamb chop are you alright?"
Hearing him at your door, you quickly sat up and wiped the rest of the tears from your face.
"Darling I'm going to come in now if that's alright?"
You sniffled, "Oh yes, you may enter, my apologies Bee."
As Beelzebub opened the door he responded with a giggle that was cut short when he caught sight of you.
"Cupcake? What's the matter my sweet?" At this, you pitifully smiled, you've always loved his pet names for you. "Cupcake?" He repeated.
"Oh, sorry Beel, I was just lost in thought."
"That's alright sweetheart." He said sitting down beside you on the bed.
"Would you like to talk about it?" You looked up at him, he gave you that signature warm smile and you couldn't help but cry.
You cried and cried, sobbing out your troubles and he listened. Held you and listened, with quiet 'I love you's', and gentle kisses.
It stayed this way for a moment until you had calmed down, that's when he picked you up and sat you in his lap and gently grabbed your hands.
"Look at me darling, I love you so much," You smiled at that, letting him continue. "Please don't feel like you have to be doing all this stuff for us all the time. You can always ask us for help." You set your head on his chest tearing up again. "Thank you Beel." He ran his fingers through your hair. "Of course my sweet."
