Tetra, hello! I’ve left this fandom a long time ago, when the 30rd episode of Eldarya was released and I couldn’t go through with it because my man was Valkyon. I just decided to return today because I decided it would finish that damn episode once and for all. Now, checking your blog I saw that we are not happy with the new Lance. He was my first option if I was ever to play NE. So… why do we dislike the new Lance? Thank you for keeping this alive!

Sigh 🥺 I'm sorry I don't like ranting all the time, so I just avoid talking about it nowadays.

The reason why I (and most og Ashkore stans) hate ANE Lance is that he was turned into a completely different character. Yes, I knew that with a time-skip of 7 years and a forced redemption I wouldn't have found the same bloodthirsty evil dragon, but his personality shouldn't have changed THAT much. He's now a total lapdog of Huang Hua, just blindly following orders and putting the Guard above everything, he's scared of ever doing or feeling anything morally grey, plus he was also very dumbed down.

To be honest I don't even care that much of how he is portrayed in ANE because the season is made by a different team which does not involve neither the game creator nor the original writer, so for me the whole season is non-canon, basically a fanfiction. I'm just sad we're never going to get the Ashkore route we deserved 😔

Very sad to know the whole new season is so out of character (I’ve also seen a lot of people complaining about Nevra). I expected some kind of redemption for my broken heart after Valkyon’s death and I was beting my coins on Lance.

I’d have appreciated the drama enough that I can almost see myself embracing being a widow (😓).

Oh, well, I guess I’ll wait to see how it ends to decide if it’s worth giving it a chance or not.

Can’t see it much but the chest has a similar design to his former Ashkore mask and i added some gold under the eyes as Valkyon had ☺️
