Artists vs Ai thieves 🎨🤖

What make art valuable isn't how it looks but because it's made by a person, a soul a human whom you can connect with who can understand what you like and feel.

Now some would say but " Ai does look good too " ofc it can looks good, it's made from many pieces of real artworks made by people.

The issue of Ai before it's made by programs, its mostly it's unethical database. It's made of artworks and pictures of other people's that didn't consent to it being fed to their software, nor where compensated for that. Therefore it's theft. It's not a simple lil filter or something you can use for your own entertainment. It's causing harm. If you want to keep using it , and ignored that it's up to you.

The argument of "but it makes art accessible" , first of all art is accessible. Artist literally post their art for free on SM , And you can commission an artist to draw whatever you like. Secondly, if you wanna learn art you also have dozens of free tutorials as well. Just pick up a pencil.

And if you think commissioning an artist is "too expensive I'd rather use CHATGPT " , you look cheap. Generated art look like. Plastic ring. You should know that art is a luxury. What value would gold have if it was 10$ ?

Lastly, Ai is pretty bad for the environment, you should look up all the waste and harm it causing the planet. That if you even care about the planet.

To be clear I'm not against Ai as a technology, visual recognition and so on can be used so much better to track diseases or criminal and it can even be used to help the visually impaired. So it has a better potential of use instead of robbing people of the precious art they dedicate all their life for. And even if it must continue to exist , the database should only contain artworks of consented artists who would be fairly compensated.
