Bee's Wedding & Event Designs is so excited to have Lori & Ryans Southern wedding featured once again. Hope you enjoy all the hard work that the creative partners have put together for this fun New Orleans Wedding.
The Wedding of Liz Younghouse and Lee Seal
The beautiful wedding of Liz and Lee took place at Immaculate Conception and the Roosevelt Hotel New Orleans. Photographer, Ann Madden captured all the beautiful details of this amazing wedding!
Liz carried a stunning bouquet of lilac, David Austin roses, tulips and jasmine vine in a loose natural design.
Immaculate Conception was decorated with our beautiful wroth iron candelabras with jasmine vine and white hydrangeas rapped around them. These made a gorgeous show in this church!
The Roosevelt grand ball room was all decorated in white with accents of crystal and mercury! Nature provided us with some beautiful trees that really made this whole look! Liz found these trees on the side of the road, left as trash. Well, as you know how that saying goes, one mans trash is another man's treasure. Look at the beautiful show they made in this room!
Liz's cake was simple but beautiful! The accent points of flowers gave it just the right amount of class it needed to fit right in to her whole look!
Going along with the tree theme, the groom's carrot cake fit in perfectly! And that tree stump completed the look!
Happy One year Anniversary Liz and Lee!! Thank you again for trusting us with your vision and allowing us to be apart of this special day!

Southern Vintage Wedding- Ashley & Marc
Some weddings take place in a church, some take place in a hotel ballroom and some take place at a private residence. This wedding took place at the home of the bride's Mom and Dad. Just one month prior to the wedding, I received a phone call from Ashley with a desperate tone in her voice. She asked if I was available for her date and I remembered asking her if it was this year or next and she replied very timidly “this year”. I checked the date and it was open.
Ashley knew what she wanted and had planned to do it all herself when she found out that a DIY wedding is not what people say it is. With just one month to the wedding, she had a collection of vintage dinner plates, mason jars and candles. She needed a caterer, cake, full design of the wedding space, cocktail reception and buffet dinner. She had no idea how the day would all come together,so she needed a planner as well. Carolyn, our event planner, went into action and found her Pigeon’s Caterers, Melissa fine Pastries, Perrier Party rentals and Mrs. Vintage to help assist me to pull it all together in such a short period of time.
She and her bridesmaids carried multicolored garden style bouquets, which were all different but complimentary to each other.
One of my favorite details was the pocket squares that Melissa created. They were made with small succulents, wax flower and snow berry and backed with burlap and lace for that vintage touch.
The ceremony took place in backyard of her parent’s property. Everyone entered the ceremony space through a set of reclaimed wood doors with floral accents and lace curtains. Down the aisle Mrs. Vintage provided assorted vintage chairs for our guest seating. We tied clusters of babies breath to the chairs and lined the aisle with rose petals. Her wedding arch was a re-purposed door frame accented with flowers and willow. Behind the arch we hung several ribbon streamers that gently blew in the wind. All made for a beautiful vintage ceremony setting.
Her sweet flower girls had head wreaths and a matching flower ball with a delicate touch of babies breath, wax flower and roses.
After the ceremony, guest were escorted to the barn for a signature cocktail and hor d'ourves from Pigeon’s Caterers. We hung several mason jars with candles to create a beautiful backdrop for her signature drink bar. Her bar was created out of another re-purposed door and old wooden windows. The front of the barn was draped with chiffon and tied back with very large clusters of babies breath.
After cocktails, guests had a buffet seated dinner under the trees at the back of the property. We hung candleabaras in the trees and carried the vintage theme onto the cabs and high boys. Mrs. Vintage provide two farm tables for the head table that was decorated with several vintage items such as books, candles and bird cages, all accented with flowers, succulents and berries.
Ashley’s cake table was beyond what she had hoped for! Melissa’s fine Pastries designed three cakes for us that we place under glass cloches. Each cake was accented with fresh flowers. Ashley served her cake on the vintage plates that she had collected.
At the end of the night guest lit sparklers and Ashley and Mark second lined deep into the property where guest were guest were treated to a bon fire and s'mores.
The night ended with kiss under the stars!
We would like to say a special thanks to all the vendors who helped make this event possible with us in such a short period of time!

Transformation Tuesday-Pigeon Wedding
From time to time we would like to share with you a space transformation. On today's transformation Tuesday, we are located at the Beautiful Board Of Trade where we totally transformed the Board of Trade and it's beautiful courtyard.
Beginning with the courtyard, we converted the arcade area into a lounge area with soft seating from Event Rental and three candle walls by Luminous Events. The candle walls were accented with pops of purple carnations for a clean modern look.
What a great way to personalize your event with moss covered monograms hung!
Nothing like a fountain of flowers! Hanging crystals were added when it was all complete to add that little touch of bling.
One of my absolute favorite details of the entire wedding were our custom designed glass top floral tables. They are perfect for both inside and outside weddings.
So while everything outside was a clean, black and white modern look, when guests came inside they were treated to a more traditional setting. These designs were created with blue hydrangea, lavender roses, peach tulips, magenta dendrobium orchids and pink blooming branches. Each arrangement was placed on either a thirty one inch tall mercury vase or a clear glass stand and each accented with small arrangements and candles from Luminous Events.
If all of that was not enough, how about some life size x's and o's to send all of your guest hugs and kisses for supporting you along the way.
Additional lounge furniture was brought inside and set next to the dance floor where ladies could rest their tired feet.
As you can see this beautiful space became an extraordinary space and no one wanted to leave when it was all over.
Hugs and kisses from all of us at Bee's Wedding and Event Designs!

Anniversary Well Wishes to Robbi and Stephen
This amazing wedding took place at the beautiful historic St. Patrick’s Catholic Church followed by a reception at The Chicory. Photo credit goes to Bob Bradford Photography.
Robbi carried a full bouquet of roses, hydrangea, freesia and ranunculus.
The bridesmaid’s bouquets contrasted off of a beautiful sapphire dress with bouquets of green hydrangea, green roses and green cymbidium orchids.
The stunning staircase at The Chicory was graced with white chiffon and accents of flowers to coordinate with the maids bouquets.
Her guest tables were decorated with a thirty inch martin vase and filled with an arrangement of white and green hydrangea, green apples and English ivy with a touch of hanging crystals. Her cabaret tables were decorated with cylinder vases filled with submerged green apples and topped with a floating candle.
Robbie and Stephen congratulations on your 1st anniversary and thank you for letting Bee’s put the finishing touch on your special day!

Anniversary Well Wishes
With just a few days past the first year anniversary, we want to share this vintage inspired wedding we did for Sharon and Chris.
The wedding of Sharon Carillo and Chris Couch took place at Holy Name Catholic Church followed by a reception at The Foundry. During my consultations with Sharon and Chris, Sharon expressed her love of Vintage elements. One must have element was “cotton”. Sharon’s bouquet consisted of cotton, peonies, dusty miller berries, cabbage roses and scabiosa pods. The stems of her bouquet are wrapped in burlap and lace and accented with brooches that Sharon provided giving her bouquet and her bridesmaid’s bouquet a very personal detail.
Sharon and Chris decided to forgo any additional décor in the church and stay focused on the natural beauty that Holy Name has to offer.
For the reception Sharon and Chris chose The Foundry for many reasons. The décor and character of The Foundry became a huge part of the overall look. Sharon selected three different designs for her table centerpieces. The first is our thirty inch tall mercury vase topped with an arrangement of cotton, eucalyptus, berries, peonies, dusty miller, hydrangea, babies breathe and gerrando daisies.
Her second design was a collection of cylinder vases accented with burlap, lace, pearls and brooches.
Her third design was a fifteen inch mercury vase topped with coordinating flowers. We added oyster shells and pearls to the table along with additional candle décor.
The bride’s cake table had a vintage backdrop with our Mr. and Mrs. Door, rustic shutters, door frame and transom with floral accents and two columns with additional vintage floral designs.
For the grooms cake we built a customized photo box that featured photos of Chris and Sharon
I hope you enjoy the rest of the details captured in these beautiful photos by Corrine Tran of Studio Tran.

From Bee's Wedding & Event Floral Designs....This classic New Orleans wedding is why we love what we do! The Royal Sonesta courtyard in the heart of the French Quarter was a stunning location for these nuptials. The bride requested soft pinks and creams for her bouquet and arrangements, which came out beautiful. Her pink peonies were bloomed to perfection and the tall arrangements with roses and orchids filled the space well. Luminous Events did a beautiful job with candle decor, as always.
Special thanks: Tying the Knot Wedding Coordination, Jeff Pounds Photography.
We love working on styled shoots! It gives us and all the other vendors involved the ability to really use our creativity to the fullest! The 1920's and the classic New Orleans cocktail, The Sazerac, served as inspiration for this shoot. We wanted to convey a romantic speakeasy feel, so we went with deep reds and golds. We also used varying decanters as vases to display the florals, for something a little fresh.
Enjoy!

We love when our brides want something a little different for their big day. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white orchids that looked stunning with her dress. The bridesmaids carried turquoise wrapped round bouquets of orchids, hydrangea coffee bean and accents of monkey tail, they were sophisticated and a little on the creative side!
Centerpieces were explosions of orchids that stood atop roth iron tree, as well as lower arrangements with blue hydrangea and white lillies finished off with black willow branches and monkey tail. The colors all together looked beautiful and were perfect for the season!

Check out our feature in Style Me Pretty for a charming rehearsal dinner we did with Tying the Knot Wedding Coordination. Race and Religious is always the prefect back drop for any event and the oyster theme is so truly New Orleans. We thought this shoot came out great and cannot wait to use similar elements for other occasions! Special thanks to Luminous Events, Greer G Photography and Tupelo Honey!
When one of our favorite wedding planners in New Orleans asked us to collaborate with her for a photo shoot in Audubon Park, we jumped at the chance. Elyse Skansi of, Tying the Knot Wedding Coordination wanted to highlight the romantic and elegant look of the classic New Orleans park. We worked with fresh spring flowers in shades of pink and ivory to accentuate the tea party aesthetic that Elyse had in mind. We love working on photo shoots. because we can be a little more creative and use ideas and props that we have not used before. The buttons were a fun touch and great to accessorize the boutonniere and bouquet with, and the "Mr. and Mrs. embellished door and parasols looked great among the other details of this shoot, we hope to use them again soon!
Kelly and Christopher were an amazing couple to work with and are also dear family friends, so the combination was ideal. We love colloboarting with people we have personal connections with because it makes the process not only fun, but the creativity and chemistry between the client and designer is fantastic.
Kelly wanted a simple, yet elegant look for her wedding and we were happy to oblige. The Saint Charles Borromero Church, where the ceremony took place, was so beautiful on its own the Vandella roses and snap dragons used for the altar decorations were meant to merely accent the space. Using all white flowers enhances any space that needs decor with just a touch of elegance that is not overbearing. Three white roses with hanging amaranthus, adding a hint of green, were tied to the pews to create a beautiful aisle for the bride to be.
The bride carried a white and green bouquet with accents of rhinetsones and dark green monkey tail to make it uniquely hers. Bridesmaids' bouquets introduced the bride's color scheme. Roses and lysianthus in lush greens, blues and purples compliments the peacock feathers that adorned these magnificent bouquets.
Night fell as the young couple exchanged vows and the guests ascended the stairs filled with glimmering candles set in vintage inspired lanterns that lit up the steps of the church.
Congratulations to the bride and groom! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
