🤍: Which character is not as morally bad as everyone else seems to think?

Not to be the "he did nothing wrong" guy, but my boy did nothing wrong. Yes, he is a severely traumatized and emotionally stunted social maladjust who is deep on the spectrum and yes he does have terrifying superpowers, which he did use to kill…a few people, but who hasn't had one of those days?
Seriously, though, everything Genesis did was self-protective, in response to the monstrous lies he'd been fed on since he was born, by the soulless evil corporation that created and owned him, and which were directly responsible for the irreversible degradation that was literally eating him alive.
Yes, he killed his adoptive parents. Who were complicit in keeping him like a caged lab specimen his entire life, in a fake town built and maintained by Shinra, as a terrarium for their child experiments. Fucking hell man, i hate to say they had it coming, but they had it fucking coming.
People like to point out that genesis was obsessed with being a hero, and that he was envious of sephiroth, as evidence of his bad character, but since when are having lofty aspirations and being jealous of someone who is more talented than you war crimes? it kind of seems like he was a pretty normal twenty-something kid, who wanted to be important and have a purpose in the world.
And the thing is, he was raised to believe that he would be. he believed was born to be a savior to the world….until the world came crashing down around him, and he found out it was all lies, and he wouldn't live past 25. the fact that he did as little massacre and slaughter as he did is kind of a miracle.
I have a lot more things to say about him, but i am tired and i'm just gonna start rambling now, so it's best to quit while i'm ahead.
TLDR: genesis is amazing and people who hate him just don't like flamboyant pretty boys with pretentious attittudes and a penchant to recite poetry while engaging in melodramatic swordplay. their loss
