Gossip Girl AU:Le crème de la crème. They were the families with the money, the influence, the prestige that so many in Manhattan dreamed about. Swimming in obscene amounts of money, these families strutted down the streets of the Upper East Side witht heir heads held high and their noses in the air. But money could only buy you so much. Those at the very top were the ones who were beautiful, intelligent and never batted an eyelash when it came to paying thousands and thousands for clothing. Enter Alecto Carrow and Emma Vanity. Seniors at Constance Billard School for Girls. They were two of the most ruthless teenagers to step on the cobblestone streets. Best friends from birth, Alecto Carrow and Emma Vanity were inseparable. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence knew to never get on the bad side of either of them for they wouldn't even have to move a finger to ruin the person’s reputation.
Whispers of their future as best friends came crashing down when it was discovered that the Vanity’s were under investigation for fraud. Families were torn. Friendships were ruined. Relationships were discarded without a blink. Suddenly, Alecto Carrow was walking down the hallway without her best friend. Emma Vanity found herself ostracized by her previous circle. A friendship that had professed to endure everything was suddenly shattered into shards of glass. A poor resemblance of what it used to be. But what happens when Emma Vanity finds herself being stalked by someone? Who will she turn to? Her ex-best friend? And what will Alecto Carrow do? Will she open her arms once again to the girl she knew from diapers or will she turn a blind eye?

"Nothing" she said with a smile and her words were true. Bellatrix needed nothing from the broken girl before her, for although the other girl’s apparent pain was enough to bring a sickly sweet smile to her lips she had come to fulfill her end of the bargain. A Black always kept their word.
"Then there isn't any reason why you should continue loitering here is there Miss Black?"
"It’s a little quiet for my liking…"
"Perhaps the castle is simply hinting that you should do something about this horrid problem darling."
-turns to walk up an aisle in the library, nearly crashing into a fellow student; Merlin- Sorry, I didn’t see you there…
"Do watch where you're going sweets, it wouldn't be good to go around offending the wrong people yes?' Her voice though silkily held conviction as she eyed him with a distaste in her gaze. It was lucky that the boy hadn't crashed into her or else all her books would have gone flying and delay her.
"I am going to hedge a bet that you are rather competent at potions? I happen to need someone of great intelligence to help me with a particularly difficult experiment. Would you be up for the challenge Miss...Jones? Yes?"
"Congratulation, you’ve found the perfect spot to cut all the sunlight coming in from the window for me. Now move, it’s not appreciated at all,” Alice said without taking even the slightest of look from her parchment.
Wickedly smiling at the girl, her body and mind completely committed to her plan that the words seemed even natural to her, "Now is that anyway to speak to your favourite person in the world?" The words were odd when she directed them to Alice for she had never expected to ever utter them towards a girl like Alice Fortescue. But she would play her part well.
Cordelia is lying on the grass bank just above the Black Lake, her arm shading her eyes from the dropping sun, and her bare legs crossed at the ankles.
"Do you often feel the need to expose yourself in such a fashion Miss Candus?"
Anthony huffed, his shoulders slumped over in irritation. “This is not how it was supposed to happen.”
"Undoubtedly so, if you are to shower me with praise Anton, I would have imagined that you would be on your knees with a bottle of the finest elf wine." A coy smile formed on her face as she teased her cousin with a hidden affection behind her words.
"Why do you feel compelled to bore me to death?"
"I fear you may be asking that question to the wrong person darling." With a careful smirk, she raised her eyebrow coyly at him as she lowered her tone and stated, "I'm sure you didn't mean to ask me that yes?"
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, how convenient for you to ask, you could help me indeed. A ravenclaw are you not?"
"Skeeter’s allergic to pumpkin-we plan on letting a firstie or a houself giving pumpkin cookies to Skeeter and it’ll be signed by Bertha. Skeeter will be thinking that her only friend tried to put her in the hospital. Simple but yet effective."
"Is she now? And where did you come across this information might I ask? A rather quaint plan though I suppose it does the job no? Do you truly believe that the girl will take the bait though?"
Her lips pursed “True, but are little arrangement forces me to keep you informed” she said with a wave of her hand, her voice brisk. “But if you wish to rest I’m sure I can find someone else interested in the information I have…” with a shrug she leaned away from the bed, crossing her arms confidently over her chest as she waited for the other girl’s reply.
"As delightful as your information may be to someone like myself, I find myself lacking in the need to be informed. I would say I appreciate you coming all this way but I find myself rather doubtful that you came only for my benefit." Alecto replied dryly, her exhaustion and need for her brother leaving her with little to no interest in whatever Bellatrix could be wanting to say. Instead, she repeated her question as she stared blankly at the ceiling, "So perhaps the question should be, what do you need Miss Black?"
"You didn’t ask and I didn’t exactly have an invitation ready. ‘Sides wasn’t even planning it; just… happened."
"You wound my precious heart. But no matter. Is there a reason that you might be drinking so spontaneously?"
"Down by the Lake sounds good enough." Evan shortly nodded his head in agreement. "I don’t know about you two but as of right now I think I can go for something a lot stronger than pumpkin juice." Always could go for something, honestly. He didn’t have a problem, he just enjoyed the taste of it. Okay, perhaps Evan was at the borderline of alcoholism, but it never once stopped him from having a good time with it. When Evan had heard the dancing part of Alecto’s words, he couldn’t help but to laugh at the mental image. "I wonder what poor unfortunate younger years will be in line for that.”
"Case in fucking point, I told you it’s gonna involve drinking. At this point, you’re both more predictable than Binns, and as equally boring. Well? Miss Carrow, Rosy boy, what have you to say in your defense? Before I realize that you’re a waste of time and throw the stick in the mud, that is.”
"I suppose I could desire something a bit stronger than pumpkin juice. Would either of you have a bottle of elf wine. The palette feels for something a little more sweet. And why don't you choose the victims darling, then you won't have to wonder. Oh do get your pretentious head out of your arse Benjamin. If we were anywhere but here, I'd tell you I'd take you out on the town, find a pretty little thing and show them exactly how we play. Perhaps a little painting for your artistic soul and a bit of discussion over the relevance of politics while we're at it. Now are you going to sit here in your delicate state by yourself or join us for as much fun as this damn school will allow?"
