Also, hi, I'm a human bloodhound. My nose is my superpower (incredibly sensitive) and my superweakness (makes me prone to headaches and nausea). I pick up and ID smells my wife hasn't even noticed exist. When my neighbor runs his car in his driveway I almost immediately smell diesel in my house! A friend used one of my washrags to wipe off her perfume because it was triggering a headache, and I can still smell that perfume on some of the clothes I washed with that rag three months later.

If I write a character who experiences the world nose-first, it's because that's how I experience the world! Not everyone is the same!
