That’s fair, and sugar doesn’t come with hangovers. Have you tried the peppermint bark? [ he chuckles, wiggling his leg ] I am, yeah. Like a noodle, I’ve been told. I used to trip a lot more, I’m better at not falling on my face now. 

"No but it has a crash... which is pretty rough but like... you can just go to sleep and it’s gone.” She laughed. “Well that’s good... It would hurt to fall on your face all the time.” She pondered.

"Isn’t it?” she paused. “Do you want it?” She offered the rose, no real reason she just thought the other looked like they could use a smile.

Yeah, I think that’s the point of it. I mostly just drink when the rest of the boys are, but it’s a holiday. [ he chuckles, but sits  down ] It was funny, at least. I’m pretty tall, it looks ridiculous when I trip. 

"..That’s true. I have drank... I just like sugar more than I like alcohol.” She shrugged. “I don’t mind it for others though, you can drink what you want. “Are you all arms and legs? Do you get tangled? I think I’d get tangled if I was taller.”

Abigail frowns, slightly. “It certainly is, but did you not think it might be decoration?”

"... I didn’t...” She paused. It was too late now to bring it back... but maybe it was. “I didn’t see any others though! I don’t think...”

“I found it in a coffee shop.. all alone... So I kept it. It’s pretty.”

Dunno’, but it starts tasting good if you drink enough of it. Or that’s the logic I’ve been running with. I also smacked into a table earlier though, so maybe I’m a bit too tipsy to be objective. 

"I don’t know if I agree with that, I drank the whole thing and it still tasted weird... but I also don’t think I like alcohol, kind of makes my throat feel funny.” She wrinkled up her nose at the idea. “I think you might be... running into tables isn’t fun... Why don’t you sit down?”

"Oooh that makes sense.... Why would people ruin perfectly good eggnog with alcohol?”

They grin. “Sugary drinks are pretty delightful. Some of them can be pretty strong, too, in my experience.” They tilt their head. “Gingerbread? Somehow drinking something with ‘bread’ in the same just seems wrong, although mini gumdrops could definitely make it worth it.”

Gladys paused and stared down at her drink in thought for a moment. Looking back up at Bilius after a moment. “It does seem wrong now that you say that... though the gumdrops at totally worth it.” She nodded eagerly.

You’ve got a list? Did you check it twice? [ he chuckles ] What else is on this list, if I can ask? Ah, good question. I think it’s better, which kinda’ stunned me.

"I did!” She giggled. “Uhmmm... all of them... but I don’t know if that’s a good idea.... so I have a top five as well. I started with the eggnog, which I just kind of thought tasted funny. Then this one. Then gingerbread. Then one just called White Christmas annnd I think I’m just going to have them surprise me with the last one because they all sound really good.”

Alina glanced down into the mug and gave a little shrug. “I suppose,” she said. “It’s just a drink.” She took a sip. “But it is delicious,” she admitted.

Gladys stared at her a moment after she said it was just a drink. Grinning when Alina agreed it was good. “Seeee, it might just be a drink but what’s wrong with taking joy in that?”

“Oh, I haven’t tried that one!” Fabian looked around for the table with the drinks and grabbed one, taking a sip. He hummed in pleasure as the taste washed over his tongue. “Goodness, that is delicious,” he said, humming again. “Very minty.”

"Right?! It’s so good. I think I’m going to have to have like... three more of these before I go home tonight. The gingerbread looks good but I haven’t gotten to try that one yet. It’s got whipped cream on top!”

"That one is next on my list!” She nodded looking up from the cup. “Is it as good as this one or better??”

“I’ve tried several of their … stronger drinks, they’re pretty tasty.” Bilius looks at the swirling colors, admiring the charmwork. “But that does look pretty good. Peppermint, you said?”

"I haven’t tried those ones... I like the sugary ones.” She grinned looking up from the cup in front of her. “Yes! Peppermint! They also had some other flavors that looked good. I think they had gingerbread. With mini gumdrops!”

“Is it spiked?” she’s not really keen on being the type of pregnant woman who goes yelling it to the heavens, but it made events like this a bit of a pain, “I’ve got an early morning tomorrow.” is her excuse (it’s also a l i e but she never claimed to be a saint)

"Ew, no.” She wrinkled up her nose. “Why ruin perfectly cocoa with alcohol?” She wasn’t a big fan of alcohol actually. It really wasn’t her cup of cocoa, if you will. “Worst thing that’s in here is a lot of sugar, but one cocoa won’t do much, yeah?”

"Have you tried any of the drinks yes? This one is peppermint cocoa or something but it keeps swirling red and white... It’s so pretty!” She looked down at the drink and took a sip, watching the colors switch in the cup for a moment longer.

Eh, I’m sure he’ll get over it. [ he nods ] It’s crazy, and that wasn’t even that long ago. That’s the weirdest part. [ he nods again ] I hope so. They’re really smart. My mum’s probably one of the smartest people I know, without a doubt. 

She giggled and nodded in agreement. “It wasn’t... Aren’t there still people alive who used to do that? Or was it longer than that?” She tilted her head, she wasn’t quite that great with keeping all the dates straight in her head. “I agree! My mum and dad are brilliant, smarter than a lot of wizards or witches I know too.”
