I think people really underestimate ford's trauma (this is specifically about ATOTS)

why would you expect him to be kind and patient when he is literally at his worst!! he was being actively abused, incredibly paranoid and sleep deprived!

I get that bill is a very beloved character but let's not pretend he didn't do terrible things to ford please

ford is not nearly as bad as some people make him out to be!! of course he said awful things, I think the line about giving stan the chance to do the first worthwhile thing in his life hit very hard and that was cruel, but let's consider ford's situation a bit more

that whole conflict was so unfair for both of them, ford desperately trying to fix the huge mistake that he made while stan was holding onto hope he could amend things with his brother... but they were both still filled with bitterness and failure

this is all to say that I personally think the way ford acted that day was completely understandable and he deserves forgiveness just as much as stan
