So I started DMing about a week ago. It is has been quite fun though I was apprehensive at first. I’ve put my players (who are the DMs of the games I play) through a lot of fun. I almost killed them a few times...sorry! 

The most fun is that I gave them an NPC that’s been traveling with them for most of their journey that is actually a big part of the Order of the Forgotten (the big ‘evil’ group they keep fighting). I was actually surprised it took them so long to figure it out since Danie (the one who DMs the game we’ve been playing most up til now) is always harping on us for not insight checking people and it took forever for any of them to insight check the NPC. Of course now one of them knows the truth. So we’ll see where it goes from here.

Another long pause because holidays and we were working on a different campaign for a while (details will come on that eventually).

But last up was the meet and greet before the big engagement announcement party. Which was super awkward for Mersi who isn’t a fan of social gatherings. She was nervous and then after the meet and greet she was abducted by Nyria’s mom who has found her way back into the kingdom. The party managed to find her quickly.

So long time since an update. It’s been a weird week. We only played one night so far. And that was Mersi’s group which went back to Camden for the announcement of her engagement. Aloing with her came so many people: the rest of the party of course (including Octavian which she isn’t so happy about), also her sister, Keyleth, Keyleth’s new family (Florian & baby Conri), and then she invited Nevan and Crymzon (which led to Octavian joining them) and well Grey invited himself but yeah. 

So the group is in Camden, Mersi had an awkward reunion with Caden. Awkward cause she’s worried that she’s putting him in danger...and also because this is actually her first relationship and yeah so weirdness for her. They had a night of rest and just finished breakfast and that’s where we stopped. Next up is the actual announcement party/ball thing which will surely be lots of awkward and because our DM is our DM probably won’t be as peaceful as we’d like.

So things that have happened the last few days.:

- Eva reunited with Byron, then agreed to go on a journey across the continent with Serenity so she can get strong enough to fight Raoul. They were attacked as they left by Fauve & Fleur who were sent by Raoul to bring Eva home. 

- Ashara’s group headed out toward Wintertide. They settle down to sleep for the night and are later awakened by a goblin being chased by a goliath (Dahlia my new character for this group). The rest of the goblin village appears hunting Dahlia and while the group defeats them they get no sleep.

-Next morning they are awoken by bandits who drag them out of the little rest that they were able to get. Most of them were killed by the NPC monk since the rest of us were weaponless. Poor Dahlia just couldn’t stay conscious (Wizards and their tiny HP pool *sigh* ). But they survived and made it to Wintertide as a snow storm began

Eva’s group time!

We had a long walk in which the group was attacked and the gunslinger who was out front (to avoid awkward conversation) didn’t notice the bandits right in front of her. Luckily (though not if you ask her) her twin brother showed up and saved her. He then disappeared and the group settled down for a rest, during which Cass’s twin showed snuck in and stole her ammo. The ranger managed to steal his ammo which thankfully works for Cass. 

Then they finally got to town and had a long dinner filled with awkward conversation. Also Eva reunited with her brother who she hadn’t seen in many years. There was a lot of picking on Ezio at dinner as well. 

Now Ezio is trying to convince  Eva to leave the safe place her brother has made and she isn’t sure she wants to.

So Eva’s group didn’t happen. We jumped to Mel’s group instead which was probably good since when we left off they were in a dangerous situation.

Recap: We fought some gorgons. Mel got petrified twice but thanks to helpful NPC Morrigan and her newly sentient weapon (she doesn’t know it’s sentient yey) she was freed from petrification.

Then they ran back to Camden to rest woke up to the whole city being turned to stone. Naomi was stupid and went into the room with a Medusa and a ghost possessing someone who then tried to possess her.

It all worked out though and Mersi and Nyria even made an appearance to help because Caden (Mersi’s fiance ) was turned to stone.

Recap

Things were so intense I didn’t really want to step away long enough to post. So here’s a little recap

We’re in this town picking up a letter for the guy Mersi is indebted to for protecting he sister.  and now that we have the letter wyrmlings are keeping us from getting out of town. 

We’ve got a list of people who could have summoned them but Mersi & Nevan were attacked by a wyrmling on their own. Nevan suddenly disappeared. A spell later and we found out he was being held underground somewhere.

So they go to the town leader for help. Except he’s been replaced by someone and the real leader is locked up with Nevan. Nevan by the way is being held to be a virgin sacrifice to summon a dragon.

We are so lost and two of our party are half dead but we’re not sure we have time to heal up. Mersi just wants her best friend back.

My poor Mersi can’t do anything inside of a library. She rolls shit there. So many nat 1s again.
