Say a trans woman wants to have sex with a lesbian. The lesbian politely says no because she’s not attracted to male bodied people. Who is actually getting hurt in this situation? The lesbian is just acknowledging the trans woman’s genetic structure. She hasn’t harmed or insulted the trans woman, she just doesn’t want to sleep with them.

Ok now another scenario. A trans woman again wants to sleep with a lesbian. This lesbian has been told repeatedly by people in her circles that if she doesn’t want to be with a trans woman, she’s transphobic. She is scared to be seen that way, so she says yes. They have sex and she has to see, touch, and feel body parts that she not only isn’t attracted to, but finds deeply repulsive (because she’s a LESBIAN). Afterward she feels violated and confused.
