Amycus grinned into his own book, pausing every so often to take his quill to parchment, “That would be the majority of the student population.”
Bellatrix nods at Amycus, bringing her eyes up slightly to look at him. "Truer words have never been spoken. Though I would find great pleasure in putting him in his place, my book is much more interesting."

Looking up from his book, Amycus’ gaze traveled to the student at the table across from them, “You could just hex him.”
Bellatrix scoffed not looking up from the book in her hands, lazily turning the page as she spoke. "I have entertained the idea, but he's not worth losing my page."
"Will you please stop moaning about your hangover for five minutes? Some of us are actually trying to read."
"Something about my grades being high enough… Who knows? The only reason she let me off last year was because it was my OWL year. I’m sure I’ll have to get right back to it once their scores start to drop again."
"And you listened to her? You could have said no to her you know, or are you like every other boy afraid of the old bat? I thought you had more backbone Lucius. Just say no next time. She can't force you to do it."
"McGonagall has finally released me of my first year tutoring duties. Thought they would never end.”
"How in the bloody hell did you get roped into that in the first place?"
"Neither have I. Waste of time, really. You are exactly right. They just want people to be frightened that they can really predict the future. It’s just a load of rubbish. I’d love to see that calm facade gone and replaced with the anxiety they attempt to cause in others."
"It's why I decided not to pursue it for my NEWTs. I have no time or desire for it and I will not suffer it either. In truth, only rarely are people given the gift of sight. And it certainly isn't given to some mudblood who thinks themself brave and cool for predicting death. That would be a sight I would enjoy to see."
“Oh, why would I want to erase the only living memory of Bellatrix Black being nice? That would certainly be a loss for the world. It’s not as though you can tell that story without losing everything that you take such pride in, can you?”
Rodolphus knew better than to challenge her, though his eyebrows seemed to take no notice. They still quirked as they always did, daring her to say any more on the matter. Even in his moments of weakness, he knew how to exploit the little things. After all, he didn’t let himself become weak without having a back up plan for the future, did he? After all, this sort of talk was nothing more than banter with Bellatrix - when weren’t their interactions laced with such?
”Drama Queen? Oh, please… do make sure that is put on my gravestone, won’t you?”
"I wouldn't qualify it as being nice per say. I don't do anything unless it will benefit me in the long run. I'm more opportunistic than nice. And why would I have even the slightest desire to tell it? No doubt it would be you would want to, but you would have no actual proof of such a thing. Only your words and they wouldn't count for much."
It was much the same of every conversation they had. Nothing too serious but always with the air of competition and challenge in their words. He was fully aware that she would fight back whenever he dared to challenge her of which he knew better than to do all the time. She didn't lose. There was never any true malice in their banter and if she had really wanted to hurt him she wouldn't do it with just her words. Besides they were both too strong to let a few choice words affect them.
"But of course. It will be the biggest words on your grave, maybe even bigger than your own name. All those who pass it must know."
"Alright, let’s not talk about that, shall we? That was a single moment of weakness, one I’m beginning to regret accepting your help for. As for dramatic? Well, I can’t guarantee a lack of that, I’ve always had such a flair for the dramatic.”
"Touchy touchy. The only way you'll ever live that down is if you erase my memory of it, and you won't get close enough to use your wand to do that. Of that I'm aware. You might as well be the Drama Queen of the house, after Cissa of course. No need to get angry yet, save that for when it's needed."
"Trust me, I’m not exactly feeling the loss too heavily. Well, you know the area better than I, thank Merlin for that. Perhaps that question might be better posed to your betrothed? Might elucidate a few things for you.”
"Good, the feeling is mutual. I'm surprised that someone found some nearby, probably hung it up at a failed excuse for wooing someone. I mean really. Who falls for that sort of thing? What? What in Merlin's name are you babbling on about?"

"I’m either going to kill you or kiss you the next time I see you, depending on how this works out."
"Let's not be too over-dramatic Rodolphus. It's going to work out fine as long as it's not like the last time when I found you freaking out over someone besting you."

❝I can’t find my god damn wand.❞
"What kind of witch can't find her wand? I already had low expectations of you Vance, but now they seem to be even lower."
“I should think not. Don’t be foul. Just stating a fact—why is there mistletoe down here anyway? Are you Slytherins that desperate for a bit of action?”
"Not even on the cheek. How am I supposed to know? It's not exactly Christmas time either. I think the better question is why in the hell are you down here, especially since it's a place you know you're not wanted."

“Look, we’re under the mistletoe.”
"I'm not kissing you if that's what you're thinking."
'Essentially, yes. And here I thought the subject was supposed to be interesting. If all they do is predict the same things that never happen, then what good is it? I think they’re just trying to impress their friends with silly predictions of death honestly.”
"I have never particularly enjoyed the class. I have always found it to be a bit unnecessary and who is to know what anyone is saying in the truth and not just something they are throwing out to look intelligent? Possibly trying to show how tough they are, because if they were truly predicting death they wouldn't be so calm about it."
Marauders Appreciation Week [5/7] - One Rivalry
The three Black daughters were inseparable as children, but the Wizarding War broke families apart without discrimination. Andromeda’s marriage to a Muggleborn cracked deep fractures in their sisterhood. Bellatrix, the eldest, went mad with the belief that pureblood supremacy must be imposed. Andromeda, the middle sister, tried to put as much distance as possible between herself and the bloodshed. All the while, Narcissa, the youngest, only wanted to keep her family together. As a trio, the Black sisters had intelligence, power, and cunning. Apart, the filthy war would ruin them all.
