honestly, i think the 100 fandom is generally divided by who their favorite OG main is. not like, inseparable divides all the time, but i think it shapes a lot of the viewing experience, and that’s never been more apparent than this season.
if you’re an octavia main, you’re living for all this. octavia, who lost her way for a long while, is finally redeemed and getting much, much screentime. she has a family dynamic, a love interest (as sketchy as he may be), and has already had 2 octavia-centric episodes in only 9 released episodes of s7 (7x02 and 7x05).
if you’re a raven main, you’re probably neutral. raven’s at least getting development, which is more than you can say for the past two seasons. still, she’s in the nakara crew storyline, which is getting notably less time than bardo or sanctum.
if you’re a murphy main, you’re probably similarly jazzed to octavia mains. murphy’s shining, getting a ton of development in the sanctum plot and is clearly on a heroic journey. our boy’s come full circle to heroism. you might be dreading how he might end this season, but at least the time he’s getting is excellent dad!murphy content.
if you’re a bellamy or clarke main, this season probably feels dull and off. while the plot might be interesting, our two leaders are absent and it pulls from the vibe of the show. it feels like as they’re teased under our nose, they’re immediately pulled away (bellamy in 7x05, clarke at the end of 7x07) due to the plot moving back in time or nonlinearly.
