bellamy graves ford is the product of generational expectation. her father, franklin ford the third, set the bar high for her at an early age, but she never seemed to meet the standards he set. it never changed how much he loved her though, and as she got older, his quiet disappointment threatened to eat her alive from the inside out.
her mother, on the other hand, was always loving beyond measure. she didn't care if bellamy wasn't at the top of her class, didn't care if the ford heir wasn't into sports or clubs in the same way other kids her age were. all her mother wanted was for her to be happy, regardless of the path she chose.
when it came to college, bellamy left windsor bay and studied bioengineering at the university of oregon. she finished with honors, making her family proud. she even got a job at a major hospital in portland, one that gave her a purpose after so many years of thinking that her only real meaning in life was carrying the ford name.
nearly five years into the life she built in portland, tragedy struck. a project that she and a small group of engineers were working on failed, causing the loss of a life. with her name being the head of the project, it was bellamy that was at the forefront of the legal battle that dragged on for nearly two years. at the end, medical negligence was the verdict. she paid the damages without argument and the hospital released her.
what no one knows is that it wasn't her call that caused a patient their life. she had delegated the project to another engineer, entrusting the man with the responsibility of further research and testing. she never approved the use of the project, but it was her lack of oversight and because of that, she carried the blame and all the guilt that came with it.
she moved back to windsor bay at the age of thirty and has been there ever since. the put together version of herself was left in portland. her father gave her a property of theirs in coral coast and gave her time to recover. except it's been nearly five years and she still doesn't know what she's doing with her life. she also doesn't care.

the almost-maybe. someone she got close to between the ages of eighteen and twenty-seven. maybe it was long distance, or maybe they rekindled every time she came home on break or visited her family. when the incident happened, she cut them off, too ashamed to tell them the truth, even if it would've shed light on the entire situation. now how they feel about one another is up to player, but she's not the same person she was back then.
the party friend. they might not be as big of a mess as she is, but they like to get a little crazy and definitely enjoy a good party. they're friends when the hangover hits or the comedown takes over, but a lot of their time together is spent partying or getting ready for one.
