@bellandtooth
me, wanting to get rid of all the boxes I've accumulated from a move:
My cat:
help Iâve fallen and am perfectly capable of getting up but refuse to
The sheeps canât get up by themselves sometimes :( ⌠their circulatory system Is Stupid and sometimes the blood just ends up weighing them down
Every breed of domestic animal is ridiculous. We have affronted God by creating these.
Except cows, cows are fine.
#cows have 4 stomachs that can get bloated if the sun shines on them wrong#killing themÂ
PIGS THEN.
pigs can and will eat you given the slightest chance
Thatâs a normal and natural thing for an animal to do. I see no problem with that design.
homicide is not something humans were ever able to breed out of the og design, Nature just decided hogs should be Like That and is therefore only a problem if you are on the wrong end of their tusks or unfortunate enough to be between their jaws
Zzzz
plz enjoy this video of Boomer using his frisbee to dig trenches in the snow
We went mushing (board-joring?) today and my phone wasn't picking it up very well but there was a near perfeft echo and Boomer got very excited =D
the weather: is extremely cold, negative temps, minimal of 3 layers required to stay warm and avoid frostbite
my cat: paces the door yelling at me to let him be an outdoor heathen
Can you believe we can just live in our houses with little animals
I can pick one up and kiss it any time you can just smooch them
iâm gonna be real with you guys i do not give a shit about people âstealingâ outdoor cats. i donât feel bad for people who let their cat free roam and found out that someone down the block unknowingly took it in because it was neglected enough for them to think it was a stray.
itâs funny you know because when i made this post i wasnât even necessarily pro stealing cats i was simply saying âi donât feel bad for you if you neglect your cat to the point of someone thinking itâs a strayâ. but now after hundreds of notes from absolutely dumbass outdoor cat owners wailing about how theyâre good owners for letting their cat outside after getting run over by cars/stolen by people/killed by animals i have to say that i think all of you should have your cats stolen and i, personally, am beginning a road trip to steal them all
I had a cat who we let outside, because itâs what he wanted. We didnât ignore him, we didnât mistreat him, he was incredibly happy and healthy. But he was killed by a vicious dog a few blocks over from us, and we found out, later, through the grapevine. You can have your own opinions about indoor or outdoor cats, but donât pretend youâre morally superior because or your âsideâ. Donât pretend that it wasnât the fault of some asshole with a violent dog, that THEY made violent. Staffordshire bull terriers can be the nicest sweetest dogs, as long as youâre a competent owner. My cat strayed too far and was unfortunate enough to meet his end, at the hands of some twat and his dog. Itâs not even like i knew there were violent dogs in the area, if i had known, I wouldnât have let him out.
Here I fixed it for you:
âI had a cat who we let outside, because we are irresponsible owners who donât care about what we cannot see. We ignored his care by leaving him to roam, we mistreated him by abandoning him to the elements, he was experiencing stress threats everyday but we think he was healthy because it was all out of sight and out of mind.
He was killed by a perfectly normal dog a few blocks over from us, and we found out, later, through the grapevine, because he was not microchipped or had a collar, had traveled BLOCKS from home and the poor owner who made this discovery had no idea what to do about the dead cat in their yard. You can have your own opinions about indoor or outdoor cats, but I am going to feel morally superior that it was everybodyâs fault but my own because I donât want to consider the dog ownerâs feelings or side or that this could have been incredibly easily avoided by confining the cat to my property.
Donât pretend that it wasnât my fault as the asshole to dump a cat to roam blocks into the yard of a person with a perfectly normal dog who now has to deal with the trauma and social pressure of owning a dog that caught a cat in its yard. A cat I put at risk be letting him outside. Staffordshire bull terriers can be the nicest sweetest dogs, but they are strong and predators (an action as normal as cats killing mice) which is why they have such secure yards and no matter how responsible the other owner can be, irresponsible owners put their ownership at risk by letting cats roam into their yard.
My ignored outdoor cat strayed too far and predictably met his end, through the fault of myself and providing significant trauma to the owner of a random dog. Itâs not even like I will even consider that this was my fault for leaving my cat to roam BLOCKS of the neighbourhood unsupervised. if i had known, I would still have let him out and blamed whatever caused his death because I cannot accept this is my fault â
I really donât know how they thought theyâd come out of this looking goodâŚ
I am both a dog owner and a cat owner.
Gowing up, we used to let our cat free roam cuz it was 15 years ago and we didn't know any better and that's just what people did. One night my dad is in our driveway and looks up just in time to see the neighborhood great horned owl, talons out as it dove at our cat. It was sheer luck my dad moved in time to spook the owl before it could grab him. We knew better after that. Note that the owl was not vicious, it was a wild animal looking for dinner and my beloved family cat was fair game.
My dog is incredibly sweet. She's ridiculously chill and sweet and gentle. I fostered kittens and she absolutely adored them. Would let them climb and nap on her and everything. 11/10 very cute. She is the best dog ever and I love her. Vicious is not a word anyone would ever associate with her. But she's also a siberian husky, a breed known for their prey drive. Once we were on a walk and her tail is wagging and we're both enjoying the sun and watching the birds and it's normal. Suddenly her attention snaps to the bush we're walking past and she pounces. That in itself isn't abnormal, but usually she steps back empty-jawed. Occasionally she might have a mouse. This time was not normal. This time she steps back and there is something large and black in her mouth and she's shaking it rapidly back and forth like she would a chew toy. Not because she's some vicious animal, but because she's a dog and that's something that dogs do. It takes me about 2 seconds to process that she has one of the feral neighborhood cats in her mouth. It takes about 10 more seconds before I'm able to get her to drop the poor thing and I was shocked and relieved when the cat bolted away. I can't be sure of its injuries, but I did spot it a few more times after that so I think it was generally okay, just down to 8 lives instead of 9. It was very lucky that day, it could have very easily died.
My dog did not attack this cat because she's a vicious dog. And it didn't happen because I'm "some asshole with a violent dog, that [I] made vicious." It happened because I have a dog that saw something that triggered her prey drive and was within the radius allotted by her 6-foot, non-retractable leash.
There are inherent risks to your cat's health if allowed to free-roam. They are the same risks posed to your dog's health if allowed to free-roam. My animals want to, and have the right to go outside, but between cars, coyotes, birds of prey, rusted barbed wire hidden on the forest floor from fences long gone, etc, I prefer those risks be taken by my animals when I'm there to supervise. You can have your opinions about indoor and outdoor cats, but don't pretend you're morally superior for electing to villainize other people and animals for the ill fate of your pet(s) when you made the decision not to mitigate the risks after you've become aware of them.
To all of those who are interested in dairyisntscary, what is scary is the fact that animals have to be killed just for you to have your dairy and everything else from an animal you consume.
If only there was a way of getting milk from a cow without having to break them open like a piggybank đđđđ
I tried skijoring last year and reaffirmed to myself that I don't like using skiis. Sound out about skatedecks and figured we'd give that a try this year! 2021 off to a great start imo!!!!
