Why do you hate the 100 fandom?

Granted I’m only seventeen-years-old, but I’ve honestly never seen a group of people so willing to rip each other apart over something so silly as ships. Back in season 1, I feel like the fandom was relatively small and the vast majority of shippers were Bellarke shippers, so with the occasional angry Flarker or douchey Bellarker, we all got along pretty well. Then, once Lexa and Clexa was introduced, the fandom just went to hell. Seriously, everyone is so fucking mean about everything, and it’s ruined the show for me. The writers obviously favor Lexa and Clarke over Bellamy and Clarke, and that causes Bellarkers to lash out, which causes Clexa shippers to lash back, until everyone just being assholes to everyone. I went into the Bellarke tag for the first time in months today and I saw a solid 25-30% of the posts being anti-Bellarke/Clexa posts. I’m sure if I went into the Clexa tag it would be the same. It’s fucking rude. I personally hate Clexa. It’s a huge notp of mine. So you know what I do? I fucking blacklist Clexa and ignore any posts I see about them. That’s it. I don’t post hate about them. I don’t belittle anyone who ships it. I don’t go into the Clexa tag and complain about how the writers favor that ship over Bellarke. I just avoid it. Dear both Bellarke and Clexa shippers, what is so fucking hard about understanding that?

So long story short, the 100 fandom has no fucking boundaries, nobody knows how to tag things, and are so fucking over-the-top aggressive that they’ve ruined any enjoyment I once had for the show. At this point in time, I don’t plan on watching season three. That isn’t because my ship isn’t becoming canon. That isn’t because I don’t like where they’re going with the storyline (though both are true). It’s because the group of people who I once enjoyed watching and discussing the show with has now been overrun by belligerent, hostile dicks who bring nothing but negativity and frustration to my life. You know all those posts about cutting toxic people out of your life? That’s the 100 fandom for me.

Jason treats the bellarke fandom like shit and asks us to be cute and polite about it? Well here’s what’s gonna happen Jason: Most of us will never stop shipping bellarke even if you fuck this show up. But please remember that if the entire bellarke fandom would stop watching and supporting this show it’ll be over with. That’s a fact. We’ve pushed this show when it was in it’s baby shoes, when there was no lexa or clexa. So it’s fucking disrespectful to tell us that bellarke is not canon and therefore we have no right to ship it and talk about it. Like WTF? There is no other fandom I know that surpresses his fans like this, not the ones that ship canon couples and not the ones that ship non-canon stuff. Bob Morley is doing an amazing job showing support for every shipper in the fandom like Bellany/Lincoln, Murphamy, Bellarke, … so does Eliza. So why is it so fucking hard for Jason to just be neutral about this? Writers and producers of other shows either stay neutral or ship everything, at least in public. Yes he is entitled to have his own opinion but is it so hard to tone that down in public as not to fuck things up with the other fandoms.It’s not like we want to threaten him that if he doesn’t do bellarke we will stop watching, that’s bullshit but is a little respect so much to ask for? Maybe next time someone critizises you don’t be fucking rude but honestly consider why people are mad at you or get upset?
