Um okay how do I do this…

This has kind of been sitting in my drafts for like a month? Because I didn’t know if this was just a funk or something but yeah. So this is for like the 2 people that will probably read this/care?

I’m deciding to leave Bellatrix. I’m not sure if it’s like forever or if I’m going to log back in after a week so for now she’ll just be on indefinite hiatus? 

There is so much I still want to do with her, so many things I want to plot and so many things I want to finish but I cannot find my muse. And, for some unknown reason, every time I even think about logging in my anxiety gets so bad I have to stop what I’m doing and do breathing exercises. I don’t think this is very good for my health right now. 

I won’t be posting anything. Anything that posts from now is what is left of my queue (if there is anything left on it.) So, yeah. Sorry.

Emmeline could tell that the woman laying in front of her was barely present. She should honestly just write down all the questions she wanted to ask Bellatrix throughout the appointment so she could get her attention once at the end and ask them all in one go. For a moment she was tempted to reach for a notepad so she could do just that, but then the pregnant woman answered. “Wonderful. I’ll make sure you get a new batch when you leave.”  Surprise of all surprises, this actually prompted another question from her patient. 

Pausing her wand hand from the motions it was making over Bellatrix’s stomach, Emmeline watched the different lights to see if there was something different than the last time she had checked up on the growing babe. Thankfully, everything was stable, and she shook her head. “No, everything is the same. Your baby’s heart rate looks good, as does their growth. Now, did you for sure want to find out the gender? Without… your husband here?” She had never been in this situation. Heirs were important, and Bellatrix already seemed fragile; if she found out that she was having a girl, the news could further upset her. At least if Lestrange were present when Emmeline told her, he couldn’t accuse Bellatrix of hiding such a disappointment from him.

Bellatrix listened, more attentive this time than others, to the update and nearly felt herself relax at the sound of everything going steady? Relax? As if she were nervous? She chalked it up to her mother’s nerves rubbing off on her and sat, staring at her belly. She felt more uneasy than usual and didn’t know if that was her pregnancy nausea or if she was truly getting more and more nervous the further this pregnancy went on. Probably just the usual nausea. Thank Merlin she was getting more potions after this. 

She heard Emmeline’s question and chewed on her lip. Did she really want to know? She supposed her husband didn’t care enough, obviously. He didn’t even want to hear that she was pregnant, why would he want to know the gender? If Bellatrix was going to be the only one that cared about an heir, she deserved to be the only one to know the gender. “Yes, actually,” she said, “whether he’s here or not, I’d like to know.”

During the final battle, she was the last Death Eater standing, apart from Voldemort, but was eventually killed in a duel by Molly Weasley.
