The witch smirked when Barnabas said sheâd be fine. He was such a hopeful fool sometimes. She continued to listen to him and took a sip of the cocktail her husband made her. âWhatever happened in the past shaped who we are now, so I think we should embrace it,â She said quietly as a response.
They stayed in a comfortable silence for a while, Bella trying to handle the feeling in her stomach silently. âMerlin, how are we going to handle three kids? We can barely deal with one. We should never have sex again, it always leads to this, it appears,â Bella mumbled to Barnabas with raised eyebrows. âAnyways, we might want to use this peaceful time - something we very rarely have - as best as we can. So, tell me: whatâs one of your craziest dreams?â She asked him out of the blue, determined to change her mind from all the things she had too much time to think.
Barnabas shrugged slightly when Bellatrix spoke. âIâve made so many mistakes though,â He mumbled with a frown. He smirked slightly when his wife began to complain, amazed at how, even in the worst situations, her personality was so potent. He raised an eyebrow when she asked about his craziest dream, but knew she needed a distraction. âOnce I had a dream I met a beautiful young womanâŠand fell in love,â He said with a small smile as he leaned in and kissed down her jawline and neck. âShe was passionate, and charming, and exquisite andâŠI married herâŠwe started a familyâŠit was surreal. She changed my lifeâŠgave me a reason to live. And I still think Iâm dreamingâŠevery single day.â
Bellatrix smirked as Barnabas gave his answer and closed her eyes when he started to kiss her skin. âYouâre cheesy,â she muttered to him and laid her hand on the back of his neck. His kisses had a considerable effect on her and she had to take a deep breath to control herself. âBut I do am crazy, so I guess that counts,â The witch added before taking another small sip from the glass. âSometimes, I wonder what the hell happened in that head of yours for proposing to me. Maybe youâre crazier than I am.â
Barnabas let out a breathy laugh when his wife spoke and shook his head when she called herself crazy. He played with a strand of her hair as she continued to talk and rolled his eyes when she called him crazy. âI would be crazy not  to propose, my dear,â He sighed. âAlthough you were, in fact, carrying my child. What would happen if I didnât propose, do you think?â He asked with a raised eyebrow as he twirled her hair around his finger and stared into her eyes intently.
Bellatrix smirked when Barnabas told her he would have been crazy to do the contrary of what he actually did. She took a deep breath when he asked what she thought would have happened if he would have never proposed to her. âI donât know. I would have probably left Lyra to you and gone off to the wizarding world to kill that Potter boy and his friends,â She said with a simple shrug before taking a sip from her glass.
