   Rolling her eyes with a smirk, she shook her head and lowered down next to the other girl. “Well what can I say, he pleases me. What are you doing out here all alone?”

    “I know. And he’s a good... choice, especially compared with certain past experiences of yours.” Bella teased, “I was only making a remark.” She sat up slightly more, but took to leaning her back against the tree closest to her. “I wanted to think. Sometimes the castle is awfully loud, with talk of this war being the lowest of people’s priorities.”

    ‘bella?’ andromeda questions, eyebrows knitted. she takes a few steps closer to the dark figure. once she gets close enough, her suspicions are confirmed, as she sees her sister sitting on a tree trunk. ‘what the hell are you doing here?’ she adds, her eyes pinned on the dagger in the girl’s hand. she hadn’t seen her sister in days, even though they shared the same common room.

     She smiled slyly in response. “Sister. I could ask the same of you.” Bellatrix remarked, as she continued turning the blade in her hands absent-mindedly.

     “I — I’m s-sorry,” Topher said quietly, wiping at the damp trails that stained his cheeks as the girl spoke, the tone of her voice almost enough to make him feel ashamed for his inability to swallow down his emotions. “I jus’ — I think I might have just r-ruined the o-one thing in my life I love the most a— and if ever there were a ti— a time it would be okay to cry, I just thought…” he trailed off, trying to catch his breath as he continued to get caught up on the words. He wasn’t sure why he’d even tried to explain himself to her. At her next question, he gave a light shake of his head, not even bothering to push away the curls that fell into his eyes at the gesture. “Doesn’ matter,” he answered softly, “I can’t take it back anyway.”

       His explanation, although pitiful, made her understand his state slightly. Not sympathise with, but understand. “It’s obviously important to you, but whatever you did has happened.” Bella sighed, “It’s not as though you can take it back, so you need to own up to it. You obviously had a reason, so remind yourself of that.”

Sestiva was on a stroll, enjoying the warmer weather that was finally starting to take over, and the quickly disappearing snow. Barty was in class and Sessy had a free period, so she’d decided on some fresh air. It was unusual for her, when in good spirits, to take walks alone and this time was no exception. Blinking at the sound of a voice, Sessy sighed and chuckled. “Come now, Bella. No need to be so snarky.”

Bellatrix stabbed the knife into the forest floor, and tilted her head at Sestiva. “I’m sorry, Ses. I suppose I’m not used to seeing you without your lapdog these days.”

Bellatrix had chosen this section of the the forest, as students scarcely wandered here on walks, as they were too scared. She hadn’t expected any company and was absent-mindedly playing with the knife in her hands, so was surprised by the figure approaching her, but remained in her position, appearing un-fazed. “What do you want?”

          “I just made the worst mistake I — I think I’ve ever made.” The words were whispered, choked as he tried to keep from tearing up at the thought of what he’d just done. Surely Charlie would never want to see him again now, and he’d consider himself lucky if she didn’t hate him. He couldn’t blame her, not really. He’d overstepped a boundary, completely crossed the line. Just when she’d finally began to feel truly, genuinely happy again, he’d been the one to throw a wrench in it all. To ruin it. And oh Merlin, what about Remus? He’d never be able to look him in the eyes, not anymore. How could he do that to him after he’d gone and saved Charlie? Teeth sank into his lower lip to keep it from trembling and he shook his head lightly, gazing up at whoever it was unlucky enough to have stumbled across him now. “An’ I don’t — I don’t think I can fix it an’ I don’t know what to do.”

         “Ugh. You’re not crying,are you?” Bella turned away from the blubbering mess to show her disinterest after that display. Yet, curiosity had gotten the better of her, and she stayed where she was, taking to leaning against the wall.This drama, although pathetic, seemed to have been a topic of interest at Hogwarts. Yet for once, Bella wasn’t in the loop. She glanced back to the Hufflepuff and asked without putting the effort into faking sympathy, “What happened then?”
