✯ - Lal had been sat at the engineering station for the past ten minutes. She had been put to work so that she could pick up the slack that had come up in the department. Her attention was drawn away from her work when she noticed someone close by her “May I help you?” She asked her voice had no inflection. She had her emotion chip set off so she would not be distracted. “I have not seen you before.” She spoke with a matter of face tone.

✯ - If she could be startled she would have been. The name the male gave her was firm in the legends. She supposed the best thing would be to take him to the bridge. She then moved to the computer and alerted Captain Picard she was coming to the bridhe. “So Captain, how are you on this Enterprise? What was your ship looking for?” She asked. She knew that the old Enterprise had been a vessle with a smilair directive to this ship. She brought him to the bridge where the bridge officers looked on in bemusement. “Lal,who is this?” Picard asked while Data looked on in bemusement. Riker and Troi were both looking between the two with a frown on Troi’s features. “James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise. I found him near Ten Forward.” Lal spoke. The silence in the room was opressive. “Is what she told us true young man?” Picard asked with as much politeness as he could muster.

“You are shaking.”

“It’s nerves.” She was quick to reply, almost defensively. The trembling was always most noticeable in her hands. To try and stop it she’d clutch onto her skirt, but her grip was never strong enough to keep them still. Breathing was ragged, a poor attempt to settle herself. The worst kind of anxiety was the type she couldn’t explain.

✯ - Lal looked at the other and then placed a hand on her shoulder. She did not have her emotion chip active so she had no idea how that felt. She did know enough to try and comfort the woman. “I do not understand how you feel as I usually don’t feel.” She confessed her face showing some mild confusion. She didn’t know what else to say. “We will not be harmed. We are safe.” She told the other. Her eyes then scanned the area and she felt it was safe for now but she would keep her eye on that.

✯ - Lal looked at B’elanna and then offered her a small smile. She had been told by her father that smiling was a good thing to do. “No, you are strong. It’s something I admire. I can learn much from you.” Lal said with conviction, She had been with her uncles for most of her active life. Now she had a chance to learn from someone else. She also found that she could be more useful to B’elanna than anyone else. “I would also like to help you. I have most of Commander Data’s memory banks so I can help.” She told her. She again offered a small smile her face otherwise showing nothing of her thoughts. She also didn’t want to be turned off again and wanted to work towards getting back to her father and uncles.

✯ - Lal looked at the male and then nodded her head to show that she was okay. He could hardly hurt her not that he would know that. “I am fine, thank you.” She spoke softly. She did not recognise the person in front of her. She then glanced around her to see if anyone else was around. “May I ask who you are? I do not recognise you.” She told him. She was by now familair with most of the crew. She offered him a smile as her father had told her smiling was a good thing and helped humans, “Perhaps I should show you to the bridge?” She asked with a curious voice. Shewas sure Worf would want to see this man and maybe even Captain Picard or Commander Riker.

✯ - Lal walked into the medical bay a sense of panic reaching her. She quickly shut down the emotional responses and looked around her. The technology seemed to be somewhat familiar. It also seemed to be empty. The last thing she recalled was being with B-4 and Lore in the Daystrom Institue. Of course B-4 and Lore were not functioning correctly yet. She decided to call out. “Hello? Is someone here?” She asked.It did seem to be devoid of lifeforms so she felt this was the best thing to do.

✯ - Lal had been working in Ten Foward when she had noticed something strange happening. A ship not unlike the Enterprise had appeared, She walked down the corridor and towards her quarters. That was when she ended up crashing into someone. She blinked and then looked at the male who was before her. “I’m sorry. I did not mean any harm.” She spoke. She was rather curious about the man before her. “Are you okay?” She asked as she watched the man without any expression on her face. She did feel some curiosity. though.

✯ - Lal was in Ten Forward helping run the bar with Guinan. She was a good tutor on social interactions. Though Lal’s manor was still stiff she was getting a little better at being human. She left the bar to collect some of the empty and used glasses. “Excuse me.” She murmured as she shifted aorund someone to get at the tables near the back. She did notice many people in Ten Forward but she did not approach them. She liked to watch and listen and if anyone approached her then she would speak.

✯ - Lal heard the questions and she thought for a moment. The male was clearly showing some signs of confusion. She supposed the best thing would be to speak to him and work out what was going on. “This is the USS Enterprise, the star date is 43658.1″ She told him. She then moved away tothe nearby computer console. She had to speak to the captain. She gently touched the computer. “Computer, where is Captain Picard?” She asked. The computer told her that captain Picard was in his quaters and was not to be disturbed. She then asked for Riker who was on the bridge. “I’ll take you to Commander Riker, he can help you.” She told him with an even voice. She then began to walk towards the turbolift. Her steps again seemed stiff and almost puppet like. “May I take your name? I’m Lal.” She spoke softly

✯ - Lal walked down the corridor her movements stiff as if she was unused to using her limbs for a movement.When she spotted someone else she paused her head tilting to the side slightly. She knew that it was unusual for her to stand and stare. Her father had told her that many times. “Hello, are you well? Are you looking for Captain Picard?” She asked her voice showed no inflection of emotion but she could feel if she wanted to. She supposed that she would have to take this man to the captain or at the very least Riker or her father. She waited for a response her eyes scanning the male up and down and she tried to get information but her father had told her that was rude so she would wait.
