but i love how detailed we've made some of these characters by now, so i want to share SOMETHING more than just like, 80% half-finished sketches and 20% finished miscellaneous art, y'know?

→ as for that "Alternate Timeline(s) Main 10" option:

bc i adore all our Alt Timelines, i'm gonna intersperse that artstuff between everything else on the list! so, for example, if i have stuff about an AltRich, i'll probably post that with or around the time we post other Rich things !!

that's basically as opposed to giving the Alt TLs their own dedicated day(s) of post (or multiple days). we have Quite A Few alt timelines aside from the big 2 i've braided into the main plot, though only a handful of them have art & sketches; the rest are mostly ideas & info in text form.

i love this bitch— and he is SUCH a bitch (positive).

3 SUPER OLD icons from 2017 that were never used on-blog. the first one was i think the first coloured image of jeremy for the concept of the blog/AU?

a brand new reference i did this week for jeremy's blue-brown sectoral heterochromia (heereditary from his dad) & his acne (freckles? idk. the dots on his face)

How well do Jeremy and rich know each other? Have they always had such a... strained relationship?

a bit of this is gonna start coming up soon iirc, but anyway! them.

so they both grew up in arcadia, and ended up going to the same schools.  rich, being as he is, would bully jeremy (and michael, but he’s not important here) a lot during that time. outside of the bullying, jeremy didn’t really interact with rich– he tried to stay away from him as much as possible. plus rich is a Rich Kid and jeremy Is Not.

fast forward to high school/blackwell era; with michael gone, jeremy was left on his own for a while. bullying maybe gets worse, until jeremy becomes friends with brooke who “wards off” rich in a way. rich n jeremy “fall out of contact” for the most part, with rich starting to leave him alone. then jeremy meets dustin, who also helps keep rich away bc d’s not afraid to stand up to him.

eventually, when dustin’s gone, rich and jeremy get “close”. not enough to be considered friends at all (and they dont care to be friends), but they know enough about each other to be more than acquaintances. for those couple months they're on again/off again, messing around a lot until maybe a week before Michael’s Plot Stuff starts. rich fucks up, jeremy freaks it, and they part ways back to being like, enemies, or whatever they even were before 2017.

so basically. They Have A History.

vortex alt timeline | prime timeline | "no flowers" timeline

prime is just the main tl we've been seeing on the askblog, but the other 2 are the major alt timelines :D there's more than these, but those are all way less fleshed out.

there's also the "everybody lives" tl, but that's just so i can play dolls with my AU characters, no-strings-attached. like send them to anime conventions as groups that would otherwise make no sense at any point in the main timelines

for those that like to read the tags:

the vortex timeline is why we separately tag [Michael Mell] and [Mike Mell] on the LIW blogs; prime only goes by "Michael," whereas Alt!Michael primarily goes by "Mike" now

Chrissy & Remy are a different reason altogether tho; prime Michael doesn't want to call the NF crew by his prime tl friends' names (and confuse himself), and thus tries to give them other nicknames instead. and so i'm using those to differentiate also LOL

fob's MANIA in january 2018 really shaped this AU y'all, i have to admit it now. that album was so damn influential to the brainstorming at that time (and tbh it still is, now that the meanings have marinated longer). and so this is not the only piece that's MANIA-themed
