I am! I’m starting to work on improving my Popee models for a college class so I will also be going through requests again :o)
In regards to headcannons…..
*pulls out my enormous document*
Let’s see… I’ll only include the ones that don’t spoil my fic…
- Mixed heritage. His mother was a blonde American woman (probably Northern European?) and Papi is Greek/Indian but he spent a significant chunk of his life in Japan
- 17 years old (as of 2001)
- Growth was hindered due to his unstable diet during his teen years (not an ED, just a lack of available food)
- Eclectic, androgynous fashion taste. Likes many textures and patterns (preferably pink)
- Far-Sighted (can’t see up close well)
- Bites his thumb when he’s angry/stressed and also chews on his lips until they bleed. In general he chews on things when he’s stressed or thinking.
- Can’t read (besides his name and basic things)
- Doesn’t like hugs/physical affection
- Has run away from home many times but always came back
- His favorite hobby is cooking. Knows how to cook, and is fairly good at it. He often lets others cook for him though since he only cooks when he feels like it and never any more or less.
- Popee’s tail is fake but he animates it subconsciously with the power of pantomime
- Has no romantic experience so doesn’t know if he likes men or women
- When Papi left when Popee was four, he was completely devastated. He cried every night for months. He would ask every day when Papi was coming back for even longer. Eventually he stopped asking.
- Has extreme abandonment issues because of this
- Has trauma induced gaps in his memory. Before rediscovering some old scrapbooks, he remembered very little specifics of the past. He didn’t remember his early years with Papi, only the absence he left behind.
- He relies on Kedamono for keeping track of his age and the passage of time because his grasp on time is so weak.
- Has chronic nightmares.
- Cut his own hair growing up which resulted in many bad cuts before he learned. Now he’s very good at cutting his hair in one style specifically
- Made his clothes out of the old striped tent they used to put on big shows. After a lot of failed attempts, he made several sets of his striped suit.
- Born October 10th 1977 with the rest of his litter
- About 25 (8 years older than Popee)
- Likes fried chicken. It often makes him forget his morals and his torment
- Knows how to drive (Papi taught him before he left)
- When he’s overwhelmed with negative emotion (terror especially), he often reverts to more base instincts like moving on all fours, snapping, whimpering, barking, or growling.
- He often has night terrors.
- Popee, and later Papi, learn to not wake him or wake him cautiously as he is likely to snap at them or attack out of waking fear
- Favorite show is UFO girls. While to some it looks like only two cycling frames, Keita sees it for so much more. Hidden in each episode are single frame easter eggs that when taken together tell a more complex hidden story. One of two lovers, espionage, grief, and rebirth. It’s also pretty funny. Most of the time when Keita is laughing at some single frame joke, someone comes in, sees the normal two-frame cycle, and thinks he’s crazy.
- Wears a mask because he is afraid of exposing his true nature. The mask also represents many more things to him. His last tie to his family, to their duty. It also serves as a reminder that he was made for something greater, that he has another job now, a job he failed. He often feels he is not deserving of the mask.
- Often feels like he is a waste of space, undeserving of joy and deserving of pain. He has very little respect for himself, even on a good day
- He is trying to combat this by setting aside more time for him to purposefully take care of himself
- If he had any other job as a part of society, he would be a trucker
- Born August 21st, 1957 in Greece
- 44 years old (as of 2001)
- His father was an Indian man who ran away to marry his mother who was Greek
- Birth name is Anatole Tyagi
- Left behind his hometown in Greece willingly and never returned. Still misses it deeply
- Spent his teen years in Japan. Very appreciative of Japanese culture and identifies with and celebrates it
- Speaks mostly Japanese, grew up speaking Greek and Hindi, (learned some English once he moved to America)
- It was his idea to start Wolf Zirkus.
- Gets very melancholic when it’s dark and snowy.
- He left the circus and Popee because he felt too emotionally unstable. He suddenly had new manifestations of great magic that made him dangerous and uncontrollable.
- Favorite time of day is sunrise. He is an early riser and wakes at the crack of dawn
- Loves singing (has a strong and clear operatic voice)
- Has read many famous spiritualist texts and has learned about a wide range of religions to find the common heart at the center.
- Practices Buddhism to reconnect with his father’s side of his heritage.
- Went island hopping during his leave of absence, visiting Kunashir, Habomai, Iturup, Shikotan, Hegura, and Okinoerabu islands.
- His mustache twitches when he’s thinking or nervous.
