i finished these ages ago and meant to post them when the location icons were revealed publicly and then i,,,,, forgot 😂😭but here they are!

i was commissioned some time ago by the post-apoc dino ARPG Primeval-Age to do many different icons for the in-progress location and biome pages. the canvases to work on were Tiny and i haven't worked this small in absolutely ages, and ofc working with more urban and interior environments was an additional challenge, but i'm really happy with how they turned out! i think they're largely distinguishable from one another as the different locations and biomes that they're meant to represent

very different comm from what i've been working on recently, very fun to explore and use as a means of doing environmental studies and working on a super small scale

i know Absolutely nothing about warframe : ) but! the outfit was really fun to work with and it was fun again to experiment with rendering clothing textures both with linework and colouring! the layered style + applying all of the shiny metal details was super fun and relaxing, very chill as a whole tbh!

It's been a while since I've worked on a sincere, longer-form landscape study. I still had to keep a time limit of one hour on this, but I still had a lot of fun focusing on this. Daily drawing 2472.

custom ref sheet for dA user TheDuskie of her version of commander shephard from mass effect!

that armour was Wicked to work on but i'm really pleased with how it turned out overall, experimented with using one of SAI's "paint effects" layers on part of the armour to texturise it without killing myself on doing it manually and i'm pretty happy with how it turned out as well!

will be dabbling with them a bit more in the future [though in all likelihood, still doing mostly manual textures because overall i like how much more control of it i have whezse]

this whole year has been pretty rough and ragged for me and june hasn't really been any different whezse so i'm a little late to the icon party for the event at Primeval Age for this month

realised as i was working on this that i've never actually coloured a real rainbow whezse,, i've done rainbow iridescence, pearlescence, oil spill sheen, opalescence, all kinds of shinies but never just a normal, regular rainbow in the sky [at least, not outside of being like] [5 years old with a crayon or marker rainbow] really fun, would recommend!

beyond that it was really nice to just be able to do something small, fast, and something for myself. been slacking in the personal art department recently but will get there again whezse the background itself was a fun paint, i've been enjoying working on these sort of grey, darker beach bgs since the previous group event and trying to do something more than just "classic sunny perfect beach"

it's that time of year again! wanted to put together at least One new reference this year and what better critter than one of my fave dinos to play on the riparia map in path of titans 😂[which is what the bg is loosely reffed off of!]

funny as hell that the last big comm featuring mik was finished almost Exactly a year ago from this point 😂different au and wildly different focus this time, but still flavours of post-apocalypse

very satisfying to work on, haven't done this sort of gloomy atmosphere in a while and ofc had to push some heavy symbolism [and sneaky funnies] in there, very fun overall
