i talked to some of my classmates about my business idea, they thought it was a good and unique idea. i still have to research what i can do to improve it and ask around just to find out how many people would actually go to this bar/store.

Ben Zulu
Diversity Bar/Liquor store
My business idea is to open a small bar/liquor store, this means that customers can buy and drink alcohol in store as well as take away. The store will sell take away alcohol from 10am to 10pm and the bar will run from 11 in the morning to 12 midnight. Customers will only be allowed to leave with unopened bottles of alcohol.
My business will be located in the City Centre, to attract more customers because most people go to the city centre when they are out for a drink and those going for night out. There is a gap in the market for my business as I am not aware of any business that allows customers to either drink in the premises or take away alcohol.
I have a liquor licence so I will share my knowledge with the people involved. I have worked at a bar/restaurant so I can easily get suppliers that will charge a bit less than suppliers who do not know anything about me/us.
The target market will be people between the ages of 30 to 60. Most young people at the age that is below 30 prefer clubs so that is why my target market is 30 to 60. The aim is to attract customers who both prefer to sit and drink and those who prefer to drink in their houses.
There will be no shareholders in my business, although I will get help from my previous bosses and mentor on running it. I will need a bank to be involved in my business to help financially when my business is bankrupt.
In three to five years, my business should be known by 95% of people who drink in Glasgow and I should have made enough profit to expand it. I should be able to stay home knowing that my staff will keep the business running smooth.
