"What do you mean, you guess? Either he is or he isn't."
hello-janeintherain:
Jane paused for a moment as she rolled her eyes at the male, propping a hand onto her hip, “Who are you, anyway? To be so high and mighty and blurt things out — especially that you don’t care or whatever.”
"Who I am doesn't really matter. I'd still say things or act the way I do if I had a different name or a different job."
jaysaner:
"You really think if the military need to get from one place to another, they would use a very highly populated area where it would be easy exposure to an attack. I’ve never heard of the military rolling through LA. In fact, I’m sure there would be so much traffic on there to the point where it would be easier for them to take the back roads. I’m sure if they really wanted it it, they could shut down the highway if they wanted too, just to get through."
Benjamin stopped listening part way through, apparent through the way he started staring at a spot above the person's head, and, when the man finishes his last syllable, he walks away.
avery-jean:
"While that is completely true, I mainly carpool with those who work with me so it works for us. It’s nice to meet you, Benjamin."
"That's great for you, but if I carpooled with my co-workers, we'd still have to drive all over the city to pick each other up so what's the point."
fleur-delavergne:
Riiight.. great. Um okay I uh, I’m gonna go.. It was nice.. talking to you. See you around.
"Bye."
eliasbundrick:
"I’ve been late a couple of times due to traffic. It can be unpredictable sometimes, so it’s hard to gauge the amount of time you need to allot for driving."
"I need a job where I can just work form home. Good Lord."
"Aah, now why in the world would I want to speak to someone of myself, who’s only pretending to be interested? That’s awful ridiculous, and would say a whole lot about my self worth, which is much too high for that."
He starts to leave and says, "Well, you can't say I didn't try."
I have a bike and a car. Moved here and had to get four wheels, I don’t ride as much as I used to but it’s nice in a hurry.
"It's also dangerous in a hurry."
You guess? Wow, you make me feel right at home.
Well it actually is nice to meet you, Benjamin. Do you live around here?
"I do. In the neighborhood," he says, keeping it vague.
"I walk. Or car pool. I’m Avery by the way."
"Benjamin. Carpooling is good in theory, but not in practice unless everyone in L.A. also carpooled. It wouldn't benefit me time-wise at this point."
"I guess being normal and having no one interested in me or what I do is paying off now, because I can walk and do whatever I’d like. But, yes, you definitely should look into it."
"I'll pretend to be interested. Who are you and what do you do?"
"Very good point. It’s probably best to just take detours, especially around rush hour."
"That's a lot of work, but you're probably right. I've barely made it to work on time this past week."
"All high ways are hell though." Jensen pointed out. "That’s the reason why they are highways is the high traffic."
"Highways were created for the sole purpose of quick military transportation throughout the country, and everyone else being able to use them for the same reason was just a perk. But sure, whatever you say."
jaysaner:
"I remember living in New York, I learned how to drive in the out skirts of Manhattan. The first high way I went on was the Bridge going from New Jersey into New York. There were actually police standing out there because the traffic was god awful."
"I've never actually driven myself in New York, but I guess it would be harder than driving on the 405 because the 405 mostly straight since it's a highway."
fleur-delavergne:
Well that’s the first time I hear those two words together..
Okay, no house visits this time. Let’s start by introductions. My name is Fleur and I’m an event planner… not an evil master mind!
"I'm Benjamin and I'm an actor. Nice to meet you, I guess."
fleur-delavergne:
You started talking to me… and anyway, do I look like someone who’d lure you to their apartment, kill you and make a lampshade from your skin?
"Maybe. You look suspiciously innocent."
fleur-delavergne:
I haven’t got a single unread book in my apartment. I’ve been waiting for a Barnes & Noble delivery for 3 days now, it’s a torture.. But see baking, that might be right on the spot. I’m craving some sugar anyway.
Well, I guess you did have ideas after all. How about you come over for cookies when I’m done baking them? It’ll be my way of saying thank you.
"Uh, no. I don't even know you."
