Hayley had been having a decent day, getting things done around the house and running some errands here and there. She had finally settled down for the afternoon and was folding her last load of laundry when she heard the front door open. "Ben? Is that you?" She called, finding it strange he hadn't said anything but she shrugged it off.
As she was getting up to take the clothes to their respective bedrooms to be put away, she smiled as she saw Ben in the doorway. "Hey honey, I called and you didn't answer. Too cool for mom now?" She asked, teasingly. It wasn't until she noticed some bruises that her tone and features turned serious.
"Ben, where did these come from? Are you okay?" She asked, the clothes dropping from her arms as she walked up to her son and examined some of the bruises and cuts. "Who did this?" She asked, a worried tone in her voice.
Rolling his eyes at her probing questions, Benjamin attempted to slip away unnoticed and retreat to the sanctuary of his room. However, his hopes were dashed as his mother stood before him, concern etched on her face. "Sorry, ma, I didn't hear ya," he mumbled, trying to deflect her attention.
As he stood before his mother, Benjamin felt the weight of the unspoken truth pressing down on him. He knew he needed to provide an explanation for the bruises that littered his skin. With a quick nod of his head, he forced out the words, "I'm fine, no one did anything. Just a few bruises from football."
Even as the words left his mouth, Benjamin knew they were far from the truth. The reality of his underground fighting activities loomed large in his mind, a secret he couldn't bear to share with his mother. His gaze fixed on the floor, he continued, "I was just going to go for a shower and clean up. I have to head back out in an hour or so."
Avoiding his mother's eyes, Benjamin felt a pang of guilt for deceiving her. He couldn't bring himself to meet her gaze, knowing the weight of his lies rested heavily on his conscience. But for now, he buried his true feelings deep down, hoping to shield his mother from the harsh reality of his hidden life.

Benjamin trudged his way home from another grueling day at college, where classes and football practice had taken their toll on him. The weight of his secret underground fighting matches pressed heavily on his mind, providing an added layer of stress that he couldn't shake off. With each step closer to home, the facade of the confident athlete began to crumble, revealing a vulnerable side hidden from the world.
Feeling the exhaustion seep into his bones, Benjamin yearned for nothing more than a hot shower and a change of clothes. As he pushed open the front door, relief washed over him momentarily, believing he could slip away unnoticed to tend to his wounds and wash away the evidence of his clandestine fights.
But just as he was about to make his escape, he heard his mother's voice coming from the living room. The warmth of familiarity mixed with a pang of guilt washed over him, knowing that his hidden world could never intersect with his family life. As his mom, Hayley, turned towards him, Benjamin's heart sank. Caught in the crosshairs of his dual life, he stood frozen in place, a silent plea echoing in his eyes as he braced himself for the moment of reckoning.

Davina stared at the small cup of tea in front of her. Her fingers anxiously tapping on the sides while she waiting. Being here home was a different feeling, something she wasn't used to. For now however, she was on a journey to make things right
When she arrived, Davina knew it was only right to reach out to her extended family. For many years she was the Aunt you would only see on your phone screen, an unspoken agreement she would never travel back to NOLA, well until now.
Davina hummed quietly to herself until she heard the front door to the restaurant open up. Seeing a familiar face, Davina stood up with a smile on her face. "is it cliche to say you are taller than the last time I remembered?" she asked with a smirk before walking towards her newphew.
The boy, was in a bit of a rush as he had people he had arranged to meet, and as always, he was somehow later than he had expected. He sighed when he noticed a voice had started to talk to him and looked up from his phone in annoyance. "Do you mind?" he was about to snap but stopped when he noticed the figure to be his aunt whom he hadn't seen for a while.
"Aunt D, sorry for being rude. I don't mean to, but don't sweat about it," he replied with a shrug of his shoulders as he smiled at his aunt who was standing in front of him. "How have you been? Is Uncle Kol back in town as well?" he asked, keeping his eyes on the older woman.
Rebekah narrowed her eyes, seeing right through Benjamin's attempt to downplay his exhaustion. "Benjamin, darling, you know better than to try and fool me," she said with a mix of affection and firmness. "I've seen more than my fair share of ‘intense training’ in my time, and this looks like something more."
She stepped closer, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "You don't have to hide anything from me. If something is going on, I want to help. You know you can trust me, right? Now, let's sit and have a proper chat about what's really bothering you."
The brunette, sighed as he realized it would be in his best interest to tell his aunt the truth. They always seemed to know what was going on way before he could say something, which was something he didn't like about the family. They all knew he was always up to something.
"Sorry, Aunt Bekah, it was worth a try, I guess," he replied with a shrug of his shoulders. He couldn't tell her what he was really doing because otherwise, she would probably put a stop to it, and he needed to carry this out.
"I really can't tell you. I've been handling it. This will all clear up in a day or so," he replied as he took a seat next to her on the step, gesturing to the way he looked. His eyes were puffy, and he just didn't look his best. His hair was a total mess as he had just come from a fight, and tonight, sadly, he lost. But he didn't need to tell her that. He did have a bruise on his shoulder and left ankle.

My one wish is to become a soccer player in the future, it reflects his passion for the sport and my desire to pursue a career that brings me joy and fulfillment. As a soccer player, I would have the opportunity to showcase his skills, compete at a high level, and potentially inspire others through his performances on the field

I am afraid of losing the people I care about most. In a world filled with danger and uncertainty, the thought of not being able to protect my loved ones from harm terrifies me. I fear that one day I may have to face a situation where I am powerless to save those closest to me, and the thought of living with that kind of loss is a source of deep anxiety for me.

She didn't expect to be snapped at for something she hadn't done wrong. She had warned him to be careful, it wasn't her fault he was lost in his thoughts. "Hey!" she snapped, voice sharp, "I don't know what your deal is but don't take your shitty thoughts out on me" she hissed
Benjamin simply shrugged his shoulders, uninterested in engaging in an argument with the persistent girl. His mind was preoccupied with his upcoming underground fight and the need to meet with his contacts. "Back off, will you? I'm a busy man," he retorted with annoyance, pushing the earbuds of his headphones into his ears to drown out any further attempts at conversation. The urgency of his upcoming fight and the pressure from his connections left little room for distractions, and he was determined to stay focused on his goals despite any obstacles that stood in his way.
" just give me the usual . " he answered . cole wasn't a judge so he didn't bother commentating on benjamin's appearance , or the underground activities that he heard the young mikaelson was into . still it didn't take a genius to see the change in the male . benjamin had appeared more intense , unlike his usual self . as if the young tribrid had the world on his shoulders , but cole didn't have much to say on the matter . yet , he knew that the underground fights didn't always play fair and that truth made cole uneasy , and curious if he should warn the male . " you good . " he muttered.
The male nodded as he passed over the cash, his demeanour nonchalant despite his disheveled appearance. His mind was focused on the underground fight he had just engaged in, his adrenaline still coursing through his veins. "I'm fine, it'll heal soon," he remarked casually, tossing a shrug as if to downplay any concern about his injuries. Benjamin was used to the physical toll that came with underground fighting, and as long as it didn't impact his family, he felt he was in the clear. He brushed off any signs of distress with ease, his stoic facade masking any internal turmoil.
" fair enough . " cole breathed , a nod followed before his large hand slid into his pocket taking out a small package of substance fastened with magic herbs . cole had become a dealer shortly after his twin brother , dominic , died . the young parker male had started dabbing into narcotics to help numb the pain before going down that path of being a dealer . " now let me guess . . the usual ? " he spoke casually to the male .
Benjamin nodded as he accepted the bag, his fingers deftly sliding out his wallet in the process. "How much do I owe you?" he inquired, his voice casual as he opened his wallet, preparing to pay the seller. His mind drifted to the upcoming fight later that evening, a surge of anticipation and nerves mingling within him. The substance in the bag would help him stay focused and sharp, a tool he had come to rely on in his training and competitions. The decision to start using had been a calculated one, driven by his desire to excel in the ring and elevate his performance to new heights.
Elena looked at the other with concern on her face, shaking her head at his apology. “You’re fine, I promise. Are you doing okay?” She asked, standing up from her chair to take a look at him.
The young man nodded, his eyes a little puffy and red from what he had taken earlier. He looked up, frozen in his spot, feeling a wave of dizziness wash over him. "Yeah, all good, just looking for something," he muttered, attempting to sound composed despite the fog in his mind. He shrugged nonchalantly, hoping to distract from the telltale signs of his recent indulgence.

Seeing his younger brother headed straight into another before hearing him snapping, he approached the other, before the other had any chance of starting on the younger mikaelson. He slung an arm around Benjamin's shoulder before looking to the other. "Sorry man... we don't want any trouble..." Aaron stated - of course should the other male want some, the mikaelson brothers would be sure to come on top. Ushering his brother away a little he looked to him. "Ben... what's up man? you seemed miles away.."
The other brunette rolled his eyes in annoyance when the older sibling wrapped an arm around him. "I was doing just fine by myself. I don't need you fighting my battles," he snapped, pushing his brother's arm away. "Training was exhausting, that's all," he remarked, deflecting from the real reason. He wasn't ready for his brother to know the truth just yet.
