something I was just thinking about is how noelle and Kris are positioned in the lake scene,

Not only is noelle facing away from the light, but she is walking backwards into it. Kris is the only one who can see where they are going

Noelle could have dragged Kris along with her, similar to how Kris does in ch2 snowgrave, but she doesn't, she keeps her eyes on Kris

She puts all her trust in kris, to lead her where to go when she cannot see, Kris assures her that she's safe, "proceed"

Even as they are drowning she begs them to continue, keep on going.
