Charging Crystals
Tumbler crystals, tiny crystals may lack the “oomph” as one calls it. Bigger crystals can be more powerful once charged.
There’s charging under the full moon 🌕 and charging in sun 🌞. Amethysts lose their colors in sunlight!
The types of moon can be used to charge for different purposes. A waxing moon to increase something, perhaps wealth, confidence, etc. a waning moon to decrease something- low self esteem, anger. A full moon seems general purpose.

Charging plates
Charging plates are a method of charging crystals using a selenite flat surface. The caveat of these beautiful plates is you gotta cleanse and charge these plates, to charge your crystals. Essentially redundant work. Apparently, selenite can also charge and cleanse. Needs more reading!
Charging can be done by leaving your crystal under the moon light or sunlight. Keep in mind that some crystals degrade in sunlight. Specifics of charging still needs to be researched.
HOWEVER, it’s still cool and pretty! Other witches make crystal charging stations using salts, sand, alum, rich soil, and other crystals already charged.
Someone also forms a clear quartz circle around the crystal to charge. Clear quartz is known to not hold any energy.
Alternatives to charging plates is a plate with a sigil or rune drawn on for charging.

Basic Witchcraft Tools
Athame - a double edged knife 🔪 that DOESNT have to be sharp because it’s only used for spiritual work. It can be of wood, glass, metal, etc. it also represents masculine energy (the penis) so can be used symbolically on an altar/shrine to represent a male deity.
Chalice - a cup shaped like an hourglass ⌛️ that can be used to make offerings. The chalice also represents feminine energy, or literally a vagina. Thus can also be used to symbolically rep a female deity.
Cauldron - cauldrons are your working brew tool. You can do anything with it. Like a cast iron it’s best not to clean it regularly to season it with all the energy of your work. You can burn herbs in it, charcoal, incense, mix a shit ton of stuff.
That’s all the relevant tools for me right now.

Cleansing
House cleansing for safety without fire and fumes that harms pets and animals!
There’s passive and active methods of cleansing. Cleansing is breaking up stagnant energy and removing it from the house.
Go top to bottom, back to front. So if there’s a back door, cleanse furthest away from door to the door. For rooms not connected to front/back door, clean furthest from window to out the window.
Salt cleansing
Passively, salt can be placed near entrances or areas with high traffic, or wherever negative energy tends to build up. Any kind of salt can be used; place a salt bowl near selected area to absorb stagnant and bad energy. Salt should be replaced via dumping down drain and renewed. If it’s not renewed regularly/weekly, it’s not doing its job bc the salt won’t be absorbing all that bad energy. Black salt is excellent for cleansing and perhaps the strongest salt because it’s mixed with charcoal. Don’t know charcoal’s properties yet, to research. Charcoal will dispel the energy and absorb it.
Active salt cleansing also called cleanse sweeping, is sprinkling salt on the floor, leaving for an hour, and then vacuuming or sweeping it. More stronger cleanse people do is adding cleansing herbs and shit.
Crystal Cleansing
Crystals are a passive method to cleanse energy. They essentially absorb negative energy just like salt. Place them in liminal areas like over door frames, window sills, etc. because they hold energy, another cleansing technique must be used to cleanse the crystals itself. Switch the crystal/cleanse monthly or earlier, which entirely is up to how cluttered energetically the place is.
Some cleansing crystals:
Rough Black tourmaline, tumbled works
Obsidian
Smoky quartz
Sound cleansing
Passive form of sound cleansing is using vibrational frequencies to break up stagnant energy. Can be done by playing music through speakers for cleansing if you don’t have instruments to do it. The volume should be high enough that you can feel it.
A real life example of vibrational cleansing are jewellers using vibration to remove dirt!
Going around the house with the sound source top to bottom, back to front so that no shitty energy seeps back in.
Actively, people use bells, clapping, sing bowls, cow bells again too to bottom back to front door to annoy bad energy or spirits to leave.
Washing
Washing is actively using a charged or sacred water to physically and spiritually cleanse a place. Some also combine herbs with charged water to make it even stronger. Typically done with holy water/moon water, lemon, rosemary, sage boiled together. Then strain the water, and use the water in a soap bucket for both cleansing.
This cleansing water can be used to clean surfaces, window sills, doors. Dump the water outside, but not down the drains, maybe some public place. No soap in nature!!
Sprays
Using a combo of EO, herbs, charged water, crystals for cleansing to spray a place to direct the energy out. Smoke cleansing does that by directing it. People spray on person or space. “Room sprays” in rooms to “freshen” up the air.

Daily Tarot Card Pull Journal: King of Cups
Keywords: emotional maturity; emotional regulation; self-expression
This card reminds me of... An older person who's calm and emotionally mature. Because of the waters around him, he reminds me of Poseidon, however I don't know much about Poseidon yet.
What jumps out for me most about this card is...
the fish on the left side, and the ship on his right side. The king facing the right side, east tells me that he can regulate emotional turbulences, and situations that can often cause stress, anxiety, depression, and unwanted emotions. Because his emotions are in check, he's can redirect most of his focus and energy towards working on building/maintaining his finances.
fish amulet around his neck. Apparently, it symbolizes his creativity
the water/ocean around him are turbulent and shaded in green *and *blue. Since his cape and clothes are also the color of the water, green and blue, it tells me this person is again attune with their emotions and psyche. Even under stressful events, he can stay on top and not drown in his emotions.
green: the color of wealth and abundance, as well as growth
blue: the color of water, emotions, trust and deep spiritual purpose
With these two colors in a body of water, it's showing the stability yet adaptability to changes in life, and the ability to grow and understand at a great emotional depth.
His stern face. Financially, this card is about someone unmoved by money difficulties. This card is someone secure in their earnings, and doesn't impulsively use their money. Their wealth is like the body of water, naturally flowing in and abundant like the ocean. Contrasting to the water that is not calm, his face is at peace. This represents the ability to emotional regulate in difficult situations.
In realms of finance, the king is master of his emotions and feelings, as well as uplifting the mood of people he leads. This person is able to get through anxious, angry, and people distracted by their emotions. He can guide people how to get attune with one's own emotions to navigate finance. The ship in the back suggests that with his intuitive knowing of economics and "psychology" of money, he's able to use it to bring abundance.
