After a day break for the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, I am posting a picture from yesterday from before the start of the fast from Córdoba still. It is a probably extremely obvious and common picture of a sculpture of Maimonides (otherwise known as Rambam), a great philosopher, Jewish rabbi (one of the most famous) and doctor. Learning just a little about him left my yearning for more

Today despite seeing many beautiful sights in Siena here in beautiful Tuscany in Italy (including a fortress and a beautiful square and city centre with an impressive tower), I choose to post a photo of a flower (and a bud) showing the rainy weather that limited some of what we could do, leaning into the beauty of the rain 🌧 ☔️

It may be cliché and boring… but there is something special to me about seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa amongst a regular city jungle and beside another regular Italian basilica

Today we made it to Tuscany, and visited the city of Florence. Honestly, today was not my most successful photography day and while I’m sure that a picture similar to this one can be found out there taken by a million tourists, this is my photo of today since I feel like it represents how I visualise the city

Today I share food for the first time this trip. I think that there is a beautiful irony that while we visited an island named Isola Bella (read Beautiful Island) today, my chosen photo was of this vegetarian lunch which is truly not what it seems. The aubergine was disguised as fish alongside the beautiful potato rolls and tasty wild mushrooms!
