With season 7 of AMC The Walking Dead just around the corner, I thought I would take a look at the 1/6 scale Rick Grimes figure from Threezero.

Slowly and steadily I’m making up a zombie apocalypse team and Rick is a very welcome addition.

There have been a couple of unlicensed versions on the market such as the offering from Damtoys but none of these really bared any real resemblance to Andrew Lincoln.

Threezero has delivered a very good all round figure with a great sculpt, all be it he looks a little older and is scowling but he is a very moody character and does scowl a lot in the show.

The clothes are very well tailored and very close to that worn in season 5.

The t-shirt is perhaps a little thick and comes across as more of a sweater than a t-shirt but that’s me nitpicking.

Following a recent spending spree at ThinkGeek I decided to review and photograph 3A Marvel’s Ultron, a figure designed by the very talented artist Ashley Wood.

Now Ultron is far more stylised than what we are used to with the live action movie line, apparently drawing inspiration from medieval suits armour.

    3A Marvel’s Ultron Classic Edition Following a recent spending spree at ThinkGeek I decided to review and photograph 3A Marvel's Ultron, a figure designed by the very talented artist Ashley Wood.

Hot on the heels of my Gandalf the Grey review, I am blessed with yet another addition to my Middle-earth collection, Grishnakh the Orc.

Once again Asmus have delivered with this flesh-hungry 1:6 scale Masterpiece.

Although Grishnakh comes with a smaller selection of accessory’s than some of Asmus’s figure, the ones he has are extremely fun such as the Spear of Rohan.

One of the only flaws Grishnakh has, if you can call it a flaw, is his hair comes styled, slicked back with some sort of a holding product in it. I simply heated his hair with steam from my kettle and brushed it to the style I required. It would have been nice if the hair had come pre-styled ( see told you it wasn’t really a problem)

In today’s entry into the blogosphere’s, I take a look at a pre-production version of Lorry.

Lorry is Badcubes interpretation of Masterpiece Hoist.

Badcube is renown for making figures that are very close to their animation counterparts and in my opinion, this can be said about Hoist, his tubby belly, nobbly knees, even the flaps that hang down behind his arms, all aspects from his animation cells that have been carried over to their product.

I have had several of the Badcube products in the past and they have continued to grow as a company. The plastic feels extremely professional and there is some good use of diecast to add heft where needed.

Those guys at Badcube are also known for dishing out random accessories with their figures and Lorry is no exception.

In this set, we get Aetheling the Red and his steed, Sir Wulf and a lance and shield to be held by Rumble as he rides Ramjet.

These accessories are completely unnecessary but fun and that’s what makes Badcube stand out , they are fun toys.

Hoist was always going to be a tricky figure for anyone to make because, as you can see from the screen grabs below, his animation model constantly fluctuated in size.

I think including the option to move Lorry’s legs up and down and being able to move his back kibble is one of the deciding factors that made me choose Lorry over his competitors.

    Bad cube OTS-12 Maintenance LORRY Masterpiece Hoist In today's entry into the blogosphere's, I take a look at a pre-production version of Lorry.

It was a cold and wet Friday morning, the doorbell rings, I open the door and there on the doorstep is one of the best-looking Slags I have ever seen.

I am of course referring to the amazing new offering from GigaPower, as part of their Gigasaurs line, HQ-02R Grassor.

It’s been over a year since we reviewed Guttur, their first offering and was the wait worth it ?

Yes, 110% yes.

The version that arrived on my doorstep is an advanced preview version and DID include the added flame effects.

I have been informed that these will come as standard with the Metalic version much like they did with Guttur but, unlike Guttur they will be available for purchase separately as well.

My initial thoughts were how far the company have come in the last year, the joints are fantastic, more ratchets than I can count and heavy with die-cast on his robot chest , dino back around the shoulders and the dino toes.

Again, bearing in mind that this is a pre-production sample, the paint applications are very tidy with very striking colours. The colour match is not perfect with Guttur , the paint and chrome are slightly different tones but this may be something to do with it being pre-production. Having them in hand, I really didn’t mind, they are dinosaurs, they don’t have to be unified and they look incredible with the Reximus Prime. ( He’s a different colour as well )

What do you get when Toys Alliance and Hasbro get together? The start of something beautiful.

Thanks to the guys over at Kapow, I had the chance to mess around with an early test shot of Toys Alliance first figure, in what i hope is going to be a very long and successful line.

MAS-01 Optimus Prime is part of their Mega Action Figure line, a modern day giant interpretation of the Action master toys.

Boasting 72 points of articulation, Prime puts most action figures to shame.

They have taken a very stylised approach with Primes looks and colouring and I think it works.

When I was a child growing up in England, the term NINJA was deemed aggressive so we were brainwashed into thinking Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles was the shows normal name.

On the release of the live action movie in 1990, it became apparent to all the children living in England that there was a big title discrepancy.

Although the names were different the content, as a whole, was the same (well apart from any of the Michaelangelo fighting with his nunchaku scenes , these were edited out) and enjoyed by millions of children worldwide.

I used to come running home from school, jump in front of the TV and sit back and enjoy those four green teens defeat the shred head and his boss Krang.

Skip forward 2 decades and the franchise is just as popular as it was then with toys taking over collections of both kids and adults.

Until now the toy market has pretty much been controlled by the likes of Playmates and Mattel. In steps First Gokin , a third-party company hell-bent on giving adult collectors a damn good turtles collection.

They have recently released a new gallery, through Lunartoystore, of their up and coming interpretation of shredder and it looks incredible.

I thought it’s time I revisited this franchise and jump on the First Gokin waggon with their debut piece in the Turtles world Cerebral aka Krang.

So what better way to cheer my self up than a Die-cast heavy artillery Chicken?

Thanks to the team at Lunartoystore thats exactly what we have here.

I present to you Q-MECH Aggy from WazzUp family.

Aggy is a Metal Chicken with a robotic cyborg internal structure.

Its fantatsically random , completely unnessersary but man I love it.

This is insanely fun, ridiculously and vert welcome in the collectables household.
