Jacob Cornelisz. van Oostsanen (ca. 1465/1470 – 1533), was a Northern Netherlandish designer of woodcuts, painter, and sculptor, who probably apprenticed in Haarlem, in the circle of Geertgen tot Sint Jans.  Moost art produced byOostsanen were commissions for religious works and vaulted church ceilings that Biographer Karel van Mander suggested came to be destroyed during the Reformation when churches were ransacked.

they live with the herd and the herd accepts them as part of the herd, just, “that’s our Dave, he’s a bit strange but we love him, knew him when he was just a lamb you know” and the dog just lives among them as one of them but then if a wolf or somethin comes along the herd is like “O Reely? Have you met our Dave” and the wolf gets to make the acquaintance of Dave, 200 lbs of teeth and muscle who believes the wolf is there to kill his actual family and is pretty upset about it. 

that is the difference between a shepherd guarding dog and a shepherd herding dog. Herding dogs are NOT part of the herd, they use modified hunting techniques to bully the herd into moving where they are meant to go. They are built for speed and agility, often as small as 35 to 45 lbs, and are absolutely no match for a wolf. Plus, the herd doesn’t trust them, is suspicious of them, which is how the herding works

My favorite part of the Posts+ debacle is I literally never would have learned it existed if tumblr posts on tumblr trashing the new tumblr feature didn’t keep trolling across my tumblr dash, because that is the only way most of us get news about this website while on this website.

Unless youre one of those weirdos who actually follow the tumblr staff tumblr. Of course they usually start the posts crossing my dash, so they have my mild appreciation.

Also I appreciate the irony that on the surface it sounds like a reasonable idea for some content creators, until I try to think of a single tumblr user popular enough to charge for their posts or how they would manage it with the weird amalgamated system this site runs on and the whole concept dissolves into shambles.

Man I love this website somtimes.
