Leonard “Lenny” Caldwell
Lenny is the father of Claire and Evie and the grandfather of Jake, Harper, and Gina, better known as their Papa. Opposite to his wife, he is way less strict, though he does back-up her parental authority, and is something of a big goofball. Claire would often refer to him as the ‘embarrassing’ parent as he took a special kind of joy in it, especially with his youngest. He still calls her “Pumpkin” to this day.
He was previously an outsider to the Gemini coven, a ‘self-employed’ witch as he would once refer himself. When he married Andrea Parker though, he was brought into the fold and served as a Healer for the coven. That was the magic he specialized in.
However, when the incident with Kai led to a slaughter, he did his last duties to the coven helping to lock the threat away in a Prison World and then left with his wife and two daughters. From there on out it was agreed upon they’d give their daughters a normal upbringing and cut the magic out. This decision would lead to much rebellion from their youngest well into her teens and early 20′s.
The family settled in Manhattan where his wife opened and managed her own art gallery. Lenny, although he’d locked away the witch portion of his life, stuck to the position of Healer. He worked in a hospital as a doctor and is well known there for his bedside manner and compassion for his patients. Currently, he is retired.
The day he was blessed with grandchildren were some of the best of his life. He loves all three of them very much and pops in frequently to see them all for holidays, birthdays, and random visits. Always bearing gifts and slipping them some cash whenever he does come by. It’s something of a tradition that when Papa comes into town, he takes his granddaughters out to the show and ice cream afterwards. Sometimes bowling with all three. With Jake, he’ll usually take him to the game, knowing he enjoys sports.
*Always refers to Gina as his “Bumblebee” and Harper as “Jelly Bean” given her love of them as a child.
