WINK 😉 RACHEL & ANDREA
Andrea: Do you really? That's so sad. Like really unfortunate. And somehow not a surprise because I keep getting matched with people who can't cook.
Andrea: It's like the Wink magic is like, 'there's a girl that can cook and here's all these people who suck at it, let's throw them together!'
Andrea: Hi, Rachel! How's it going?
Andrea: Also, Andie. I go by Andie.
Rachel: My mother's a wonderful cook and I've even tried to take a couple classes, but always with minimal results. I've just decided cooking ends up just being stressful for me. While I do believe I have excellent time management, it doesn't translate into the kitchen.
Rachel: How have you not yet decided to host a dinner party for all your sad chef matches? 😝
Rachel: And Andie. Of course. I'm doing quite well. So ready for the weekend.
WINK 😉 RACHEL & MADISON
Madison: Thank you, my weekend was pretty great.
Madison: spent mostly on the beach with my dog.
Madison: how was your weekend?
Rachel: A dog person AND a beach person. Speaking my language. I don't have a furry friend myself, but I'm smitten with just about each and every pooch I meet. What kind of dog?
Rachel: And I have a very enjoyable and restful weekend, which is good because holiday festivities this weekend are keeping me quite busy.
wink message 😉 rachel
RYDER: Hey I'm Ryder.
RYDER: I never really know how to start these things, sorry. How're you today?
RACHEL: Hi, Ryder. I'm Rachel.
RACHEL: And you'd think after all these weeks of this app being live, the hellos would become easier, but I'm in a similar boat as you.
RACHEL: I'm also doing well. Planning to head to the store this evening to stock up on snack for some Stranger Things binging tomorrow.
😉Match @winkrachel
Stevie: Warmer fall weather aren't words I'm used to seeing together.
Stevie: I'm great. Thanks for asking. The week feels as if it's gone on for half a month all ready.
Rachel: Oh no! Weeks that drag are the absolute worst, especially when the weekend arrives and it feels like it goes by at light speed.
Rachel: Is work stressing you out?
Text || 😉Rachel
Carissa: What are you in the mood for dinner wise??
Rachel: If you can handle your spice, how do you feel about Thai?
WINK 😉 RACHEL & RODERICK
Roderick: Those little airplanes scare me, but I think I'd do it for a trip like that. Seems like such a great place to visit, and I know the surfing out there is probably better than it is here.
Roderick: Yeah, that's where I work. I really like that shop. I'll come in this week, make sure I say hello. If that's cool, of course.
Rachel: Surfing out there is fantastic, but we're actually gearing up for our better surfing season in SF now. Ironically summer in the Bay Area is always hit or miss, but when the weather changes and the fog rolls out... 🤙
Rachel: I love that we've essentially been business neighbors and have had no idea. And of course! I'd love to have you stop in. 😁😁😁
😉match: Rachel ⇆ Sam
SAM: He is? Cool! Is he on Wink as well? Cause I'm matched with two teachers so now I'm wondering if he happens to be one of them.
SAM: What's the best selling product right now? Anything Halloween related?
SAM: I have 2 brothers and a sister. What about you?
RACHEL: Az is on Wink, yes. He teaches band and orchestra.
RACHEL: We have cider quarts and half-pint jars of apple butter from a local orchard that we have been huge sellers so far this season.
RACHEL: And bath and home products are always a stable seller for us, too, and three of our partners developed seasonal scents this year. One's a pumpkin spice sugar scrub, another's Goblin soap (named after the poem) with fruit, vanilla, and jasmine notes, and the last is a candle with cinnamon and other spiced scents for what essentially just reminds me the type of smell that makes you want to cozy up under blankets in front of a fire.
RACHEL: So many siblings. I assume that means you're a good sharer? And it's just me and Az. We're actually twins.
Wink 😉 Rachel
Gav: I think that's absolutely true. For example, my skills don't lie in dancing. Not that I don't do it, because I also think that one can dance and look a fool, and there's nothing wrong with that. But I'm terrible at it. No one would ever ask me to do such a thing professionally.
Gav: Oh, ouch. I don't believe I'd like to be told to have a Happy Fri-yay. Will they not just stop if you ask them to?
Rachel: Speaking of, what do you do professionally?
Rachel: I'm sure they would have, but what grinds me gears could perhaps put a smile on someone else's face. And I can't fault my employee for the overall enthusiasm. It was one of those pick your battles moments.
WINK 😉 RACHEL & LAURA
LAURA: LOL basically how all Hallmark movies are tbh.
LAURA: Nah, it's definitely like that. Others are 'thriller' with a love twist sometimes, but those are far and few between.
RACHEL: So were you just in the Bay Area to film and decided to stick around?
WINK 😉 RACHEL & KURT
Kurt: And that's why it's beautiful...when done right it really does speak to you. Done wrong and it looks awful! Think that's a universal thing with all...things
Kurt: The vibe. Never thought that I'd need to find a way to lighten the vibe...in California! Manhattan looks like a Nolan movie whenever it's winter!
Rachel: Here at ApotheBerry we can certainly assist with the Californification of your office space.
Rachel: Fee free to swing at any time. We're on the 1300 block of Haight, open 11-7 each day. And if you let me know what day you think you'll drop by, I'll do my best to in the shop and not out and about sourcing.
WINK 😉 RACHEL & MADISON
Madison: Hi! My name is Madison and I'm your match for the week.
Madison: It sounded better in my head...
Rachel: If it makes you feel better, nothing sounded off on my end!
Rachel: I personally believe there's nothing wrong with getting straight to the point.
Rachel: I hope you've had a good weekend, Madison.
WINK 😉 RACHEL & COOPER
Coop: there are always things on my to-watch list that take me forever to get through with my schedule but when I get to it, it's always rewarding.
Rachel: Is your schedule keeping you busy this fall?
WINK 😉 RACHEL & ELLIOTT
ELLIOTT: i do, yeah. i've just never thought about surfing or anything like that
RACHEL: It's certainly not for everyone. Between the paddling, core strength, and balance, it's rarely an inherent skill. But the rush of catching your first wave is addictive.
😉 MATCH: Alexis + Rachel
Alexis: I hope it turns out okay because I would be very disappointed that it had a bad outcome just because of it's name.
Rachel: Oh, I don't believe people would boycott just because of a series' name.
Rachel: If it's a good show, it's a good show.
Rachel: Are you able to share the premise?
