Elliot had only grabbed the essentials when she made her way to the basement, but one of those things had been a flashlight. Multiple, in fact, with batteries as well. It was one of the only times she was really prepared, but that was only because it was her only form of communication. She had found herself in a corner, really just trying to avoid having to struggle with the lack of vision, but eventually knew it was no use. It was around that time that she spotted Roderick in the opposite corner and she sighed, standing up and making her way towards him. “What’re you playing?” She asked, aiming the flashlight at the ceiling as to not blind the man.
As Roderick looked up toward the voice he’d heard, he thought it much more clever to bring flashlights than a guitar. “Rolling Stones... Angie.” He’d never been very good at thinking of practical things to do, usually opting for the emotional choices. “Good idea... the flashlights. I don’t think I realized it would be so dark down here.” He continued playing as he spoke.
