I know this is a joke but like, yeah. It is. I promise you.
See, I had graduated early from highschool and then got my associates in Zoology. But then, from ages 18-23, I was medicated with antipsychotics and (for those last two years) a deadly combo of sedatives due to misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis, and then a psychiatrist who was legitimately on drugs and just writing random shit that almost killed me.
Anyway, needless to say, my brain turned to mush and stopped working, and it took me 6 years to get some sort of bachelors degree (in fashion??) and I graduated at the bottom of my class.
And then I got properly diagnosed (the “psychosis” was just narcolepsy) and got off all those meds. And I was so afraid my brain was permanently fucked. And it is, cause of the narcolepsy part, but the narcolepsy doesn’t kill the parts of your brain where your smarts are.
But I went back to school. Got another bachelors studying sustainable tourism. Turns out my smarts hadn’t gone anywhere when my brain turned to mush. I graduated with a 3.98 GPA.
Now I’m getting my masters in biology studying the intersection of tourism and the conservation of the critically endangered Cozumel raccoon. And doing well. 🤷🏻♀️
Your brain is not a muscle in the literal sense, but it is a muscle in the sense that the more you use it, the better developed it becomes. Not using it might make its usefulness dip for a bit, but that doesn't mean it's gone forever. You might have to work your way back up, start with easier exercises (puzzles, creative exercises, critical thinking questions) before jumping back into the stuff you used to do, but like a couch to 5k slowly ramp up the difficulty and you'll get there in the end. No one's brains are useless, you just gotta meet 'em where they're at.

Songs that depict WLW behaviour will be accepted! However, a song that mainly depicts WLW will be accepted, but a song that is mainly MLW or MLM and only has a little or no WLW will not be accepted.

Well, I finally caved! After so long of not seeing these blorbos in any brackets, I’m taking matters into my own hands and giving them their own bracket! Welcome to… the A Rose of Ice in Summer character tournament!!
[Breaking character]
Okay so I figure I better explain, because even though I’m committed to the bit, I don’t want it to be incomprehensible.
Don’t know anything about the title I mentioned in the starting paragraph? That’s part of the plan! This is a bracket for a fake series, title given above as “A Rose of Ice in Summer”. The goal of this blog is to make up the lore of what this fake series is through improvised propaganda of the characters.
I’ll make an example post to showcase some vague ideas of what could be added, and I’ll keep an updated info-post on things people have added to the lore so far. [Getting to work on those right away after posting this!] Mostly, we’re just here to have fun pretending a show exists! Like the Goncharov of poll blogs, if you will.
For most of the time I’ll stay “in character” pretending that A Rose of Ice in Summer is a real series that we’re really talking about, but when needed, I’ll do segments breaking character to explain things- like right here!
There’s not really a submissions phase given there’s. Not actually any characters to submit. But I want to wait maybe a week or two before starting, first of all to get a reasonable base of followers who are interested before jumping in, and second of all, because I plan on drawing the fake characters myself, I want to give myself a fair amount of time so I don’t feel like I’m rushing

Our first tournament (the reason we even created this blog) is about which animated Disney movie has the best music.
Nominate your favorite Disney animated movies based on their music. Whether it be your absolute favorite song, the genius of the composer, the contribution to music, which soundtrack is full of the most bangers, or really anything you want, as long as you include the name, it will be considered.
There is space for you to nominate up to five films if you are super committed to one movie you can always put it multiple times. there is no requirement for you to chose five movies as well. And for clarification; this is for purely animated movies. We will accept Pixar as well as Disney Animated Studios, but not something acquired by Disney (like Anastasia 1997). We also will not accept Mary Poppins, High School Musical, or (while we do call it an animated movie) the 2019 Lion King and the like here.
The votes will be tallied to create the bracket inclusions and placements. Any movie that has won or been nominated for a notable award (like Oscars) will start with one point for each nomination and two points for each win.

This wonder-filled account is looking to answer some mysterious (and very opinion based) questions about the Mouse's Kingdom that often cause friendly disagreements out in the real world.
We would call ourselves maybe-more-than-casual enjoyers of the Mouse's stories, but by no means are all total experts on all aspects of these stories.

words for "cat" are preferable, but if a language has a really good word for "kitty" or "kitten" or something similar, i'll allow it
in the event that a language doesn't have a word for cat (ie. toki pona), a word for something similar would suffice (maybe "soweli" for the toki pona example)
