This the report that JK Rowing doesn't want you to see. This report scares her so much that she is trying to destroy Amnesty International, a human rights organization, to stop you reading it:
Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their fundin
(Amnesty already pulled the report because of JKR's threats. Of course that didn't and won't stop her - capitulating to fascists and bigots is never the answer. Alejandra captured the report and posted it, so you can read what JKR doesn't want you to know.)
Bluesky thread is a lot of screenshots (which I find impossible to cope with), but if you scroll far enough down, there's a link to the full pdf:
My good folks? Please stop reblogging this with incitements to violence. If you do, I will assume you are a terf fedposting, and report and block you as such.
The only way this shit will ever go away is if you DON'T BUY IT.
I'm gonna say it.
It's unhinged to assume that someone's taste in fiction equates to what they believe is moral or good, or is something they want to see or experience in real life.
That is a bonkers assumption to make.
I'm tired of humoring people with long arguments about it when the simple fact is it is a totally fucking absurd reach to accuse someone who enjoys something in fiction of being in favor of it in real life.
I'm tired of pretending like this is a legitimate position to hold-- that they should be afraid of fiction's dire influence on a reader's moral decay or that it's a sign of what the author secretly wants for realsies in real life.
I promise you it is still getting me death threats in 2024.
british is not synonymous with white
european is not synonymous with white

if you as a man cannot relate to female characters, you are a misogynist
YES even if you're trans and it makes you dysphoric. you need to divorce your dysphoria from women as a concept.

you know its telling how few people on the internet actually spend time outdoors in general and around actual gay men in particular
because to hear even Tumblr the "gay gender website" talk people only wear harnesses while strapped into a sex swing while being fisted
but the reality is that the harness, both leather and spandex, in gay male world is like stiletto pumps, a bright red lip stick, a short skirt or push up bra.
sure some people are wearing those things because they're about to get laid or hoping to. But lots of people wear them just to feel sexy, confident or powerful. And there's nothing X rated and "shouldn't be seen in public" about any of that.
lots of gay guys wear harnesses to bars or clubs not because its a sex thing, but because its a sexy thing, they feel attractive and confident.
I get that gay men feeling attractive and confident terrifies people, but if you're at Pride and a guy walks past you in jeans and a harness, either shirtless or over his shirt, he didn't violate your civil rights or do a sex thing in front of you, he's wearing a totally appropriate outside that makes him feel confident and powerful.
grow up, deal.
I hate when trans men use how long they’ve been out/on T to discredit transandrophobia/anti-transmasculinity theory.
“Once you go on T, once you start ACTUALLY living as man you won’t care about this stuff.”
Pre T, early T, and non HRT trans men and mascs are still trans and part of the community. The fact that they experience misogyny to a greater degree doesn’t make it unimportant because that might not be the case later.
Even if we made it super easy for people to come out and get on puberty blockers and HRT as children, TRANSITIONING will always exist. Not everyone’s goal is stealth. There will always be non-passing, out and proud trans men, and trans men in “early transition”. There will still be trans men who transition in their 40s, 50s and older who lived their entire lives as women. These are still transmasc experiences, male experiences.
This is all while ignoring the fact that yes, even stealth and passing trans men are still trans. Still experience transphobia, misogyny, and transandrophobia. I know I do. You’re not a “better man” because you don’t (or pretend you don’t).
I’m a trans guy 7 going on 8 years on testosterone. I pass. I’m read as a man in most situations. And I really reject this idea that caring about transandrophobia means I’m “immature” or “attached to being afab.” I’m just being honest about the specific ways power, misogyny, and transphobia intersect in our lives because I’m not insecure about it. I care because I’ve seen how these dynamics persist before, during, and after medical transition.
If our politics only make room for the most comfortable, most assimilated trans men, then they’re not actually serving the community.

When you see it…
“Once you ACTUALLY start living as a man”
Is a way to, all at once, say;
“Trans men aren’t men until they start testosterone. And once you start testosterone as a trans man, to be a real trans man, you have to try to be stealth.”
…you can’t un-see the truscum bullshit.
Also, like, not everyone who's stealth WANTS to be stealth. Often, in misogynistic/transphobic work environments, the choice is "be stealth" or "get harassed constantly" or "don't work there." It's just the least shitty of those three options. It's not like we can just immediately train for a completely new career at the drop of a hat when we decide to transition. Because, I remind the reader, large numbers of us transition as adults; contrary to popular belief, we are not all 15.
hey everyone, just curious:
what is everyone's criteria for blocking people?
