not to who meta on main but i think one of my absolute favorite things about ten and donna’s dynamic (and there’s many favorite things) is their strange dichotomy of being codependent to what is just shy of being a wildly unhealthy degree while also being probably the most individual doctor-companion teamup in possibly the entire revival. sure, the other companions all have storylines where they’re fairly separate from the doctor, but if memory serves, donna is the only companion who actually gets a bottle episode. this episode aired a week after ten’s own bottle episode, and both midnight and turn left contain two of the objectively best, most unsettling stories in the entire show. they’re two very independent and equal characters, yet at the same time donna would rather die than lose ten and when donna’s memory is wiped ten actually goes insane. it’s fascinating. where do i find a friend like this
