Delicate:
I have gained more wisdom sitting in silence, listening to the performance of nature, than any formal tutelage has offered
The crickets, well, they speak a simple but wise story of a zest for life, for they may not live through the night and sing for love of song
The frogs, oh those tiny little frogs
How wise they are and always looking for love, how much more we could be if we did the same
In the distance, the owls call to each other. I believe they are penning the most epic poem, one that only the other is capable of understanding and I aspire to one day birth
How sublime,
Beasts in field bray as our shared golden sun succumbs to the veil of tonight’s eve, with each sharing that which is unknowable, yet mesmerizing still
Here comes the gentle breeze carrying the final winged taking shelter, each with storied events of foraging and procreating for another day
Laying the grass, holding my breath, I can hear the grub mixing a gift for later
The insects, negotiate for whatever is available while defending what territory has been held
How delicate this balance is
Now sitting in darkness, thankful for azure’s daily baptism, nature’s melody washes over with such simple, yet elegant design
How delicate
